If you all want a fact- If you've read the Given manga,there states there was a mistranslation in the English,and the anime also. A Japanese person translated it,and its basically that Haruki got overwhelmed and upset because of how Akihiko treated him. He wanted Akihiko to treat him like he'd treat a girlfriend,to be loved and cherished,and what happened was consensual. The thing that shocked him was the forwardness of said action and how Akihiko said that opening up to him wouldn't change anything,that's what got to him,not the ministrations- And,I'm going off of chapter 44 of the manga,as I'm up to date,its all getting better. Akihiko's changed,Haruki is happy,and they're happy together. It's also hinted to that Ugetsu is interested in someone else/has a new boyfriend,and is seeming to move past what happened with Akihiko. We see Akihiko messaging Ugetsu to congratulate him on a competition and his look of pure shock as he did,because that hadn't happened before,and you can tell them splitting changed them both for the better,and Ugetsu knows that,in the movie stating 'so thats the one..' [Yes I'm very invested in the Given community and have done a ton of research lol-]

The first time Haruki made his appearance in the show i literally went "DUDE I'D BE A MAN FOR YOU" tho i'm a girl C'MON LIKE HOW CAN THIS BEAUTIFUL CREATURE EXIST- srsly he's my fave character aside from Hiiragi...

Watching this and realizing that this whole time, it’s not like he was oblivious, Akihiko knew at every moment that Hiruki liked him and still went on to be an asshole. He kept doing things to flutter his heart while keeping enough distance to make him think he doesn’t know. I really don’t like Akihiko, but if he makes Haruki happy, then so be it.

The end was so cute 🥺😭 GIVEN has a lot of feelings it can give you. A heartache, sadness, flattering, happiness, moments of love, kisses ☹️ the story is too precious & realistic ❤️
