In this video, we will be introduced to Akkadian (and Sumerian numbers). I apologize for the video being only available in standard definition.
(This is an old video from my Akkadian language course.)

Can you make a video about the Syriac manuscripts, the scientific ones, like math, astronomy and medicine etc. I searched, but I couldn’t find any, why? what could be the case, even though languages like Hebrew have many books in the field of science.

Thanks alot for these historic informations. Akkadian, Aramic, assyrian, all are semitic accents of arabic language which were spoken in old times in al jezeera (Saudi Arabia) and evolved with time. semitic means that it came from Sam son of Noah how lived in al jezeera. Arabic language have about 12.3 million ward.

Totally wrong. They were spoken in Mesopotamia where Ninevia, Babilon etc are. And they are much closer to Hebrew than to Arabic. Also Noah and Shem lived in Mesopotamia as well.

The transliterations show no glottal/pharyngeal stops. Is that the way Akkadian sounded?

Well, it is difficult to know with certainty. There is evidence that suggests it may have and that it may not have... so it is inconclusive. The Sumerian writing system that is used to write Akkadian does not have glottal or pharyngeal stops, so we are limited to the writing system they use. Interestingly, Modern Assyrian (Northeastern Neo-Aramaic) does not pronounce these either.
