hey there! i'm quite into the floating keys look, and was wondering if it was technically possible to use it without the frame (much like the RK g68)? I saw in the initial parts of the video you were removing the frame and that you had to pry open the top part of the plate but I cant tell if the bottom part of the plate is snugly fit without the frame.
Hi! I would like to thank you for watching my short video. To answer your question, yes it is possible to use without a top frame, but it won't look good, 3068B has 3screws only to lock the plate into the bottom frame.
Any specifications on the battery? I'm wondering if I can replace the 1800mah battery with a higher capacity, but I can't find the relevant information anywhere, such as the physical size and technical specifications.
@@justogar8136 The original question was in regards to the batteries' technical specifications, which are not readily available anywhere online, or in the product manual either. I eventually contacted Akko and they replied with the specifications. The standard battery is 3.7V 1800mAH. The physical dimensions are purportedly 103mm x 31mm x 5mm.
@@kl10sx Hello, sorry to contact you so late, lately I have been interested in purchasing Akko keyboards. I'm in doubt between the Akko 3068b plus keyboard and the Akko 3068S, which is wired only. I would like a user's opinion regarding the battery of these keyboards, is 1800 mAH not enough? Is it worth purchasing a wireless keyboard? Does the battery last? The price difference in my country is 25% between models, excluding shipping.
@@kenjinobushige 1800mAh could be enough if you never intend to use the RGB. The issue is that the keyboard only allows for brightness changes in increments of 25% -> 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%. 25% is too dim in a dark room, but 50% is an acceptable level for me personally. At 50% brightness, the keyboard lasts maybe 17 to 22 hours of continued use, with the RGB off-timer set to 10 minutes of inactivity. This keyboard is why I would hesitate in considering a wireless keyboard under 4000mAh. Akko has some new 65% keyboard that allegedly comes with a 4000mAH battery, but I have not tried it. Comparing that to other keyboards that I've used that come with 4000mAh batteries though, and the difference in brightness and usage time is greater. I can get 2 to 4 days out of my 4000mAh Keychron K6 Pro @ 100% brightness, and about the same from my Nuphy Halo 65 @ 75% key brightness + 50% halo ring led brightness.
