I love your reviews man. I settled on the Anne Pro 2 a long time ago thanks to you and I still watch the keyboard reviews. Bonus: your review of it is the video I always send my homies when I wanna show it off.
@@acgfreeman I ended up going with the pinks for the aesthetics, I prefer having a more seamless look. It's yet to arrive though, I ordered during the Akko preorder and it's shipping from somewhere haha
Thanks for the video! I really appreciate the review! I'm new to the world of mechanical keyboards, and I'm currently rocking the RK987 with red switches & LTC Pudding keycaps, but I'm eventually looking to upgrade one day! I was looking at this one by Akko because I want a pink keyboard, but I also wanted hotswappable features.
It’s been so long since I’ve used this keyboard. Best bet is to check the manual or look up the manual online. It’s probably something like Fn and one of the arrow keys
Wait everyone is talking about minecraft music in the background.... but no love for Persona 4 at the start. Great video!! Those tangerines sound amazing too haha.
i'm really interested in the keyboard! main issue is i'm used to 100% keyboards and i'm from the uk so the lack of an iso layout is a little off putting. right now i'm torn between getting this or the gmmk whenever they're back in stock. I'd love to just have these pudding caps on a gmmk would be perfect
Dang it;; I was looking at this keyboard because I liked the case, but what evil genius thought it would be a great idea to soughter the switches?? Now I'll have to look for another case 😓
Fn + left arrow key doesn't work for me in adjusting the case lighting. While exploring I think I shut it off. Now I can't turn it back on. Hope someone will be able to help!
That is a GamaKay K87 with the switches swapped to TKC Tangerine switches lubed with Krytox 205g0 lube. The switches are not in stock but if you look up JWK linear switches, they’re all similar to those. The keycaps are Akko Sakura keycaps if I remember correctly. It’s been awhile since I used that board
Not this one no, but Akko has some new similar barebones DIY boards called the ACR series. available in pink and other colors. Hot swappable but does not include switches or keycaps.
I have been trying to fix the rattling space bar with lube, foam into the switches and o-rings (I am a complete keyboard noob and don’t know what I am doing) and it’s still rattling 🥲 I can only find stuff for hot swap boards to help with the rattling but not for sautered boards… but you mentioned you can fix this. Can I ask you how? Because I might cry if I can’t solve this finally 🙃
It’s still really hard with soldered boards but some possible ways to at least improve rattle would be to get some die-electric grease and some small dental brushes. Lube the tip of the brush and insert the brush into the stabs. Another option people like is to buy a lube called krytox 205g0 and to buy some 18ga blunt tip syringes and inject some lube into the stabs. Those are probably your best best with soldered boards
@@Portly Thank you lots for taking your time to answer my question, I have just unscrewed the plate and took out the stabilizers from the bottom and lubed them up real good, it worked but it was a lot of work lmfao So now I just lube with a syringe and am done with it. Still waiting for the day I will understand how to properly change my lighting, the user manual is a joke xd.
Nope, unfortunately. If you want something similar that is, look for the K87 from GamaKay. It isn’t pink but it’s almost exactly the same and it IS hotswap.
