Hey everyone! I was able to try the new Akko V3 Cream Yellow Linear Switch, huge shout-out to our friends in Akko for letting me try your newest line~

However, in this video, my reviews and thoughts are purely my own and as always, we remain truthful and unbiased!

IMO all sound tests on a kbd67 lite sound quite similar due to the structure of the board itself. Would be nice to see a sound test on a different board, but overall great sound.

hii, yes kbd67 lite contributes in making the sound seem deeper! but not similar, you can tell the difference between each if listen closely. i decided to do soundtest of my switches using only 1 board, all my sound results has one common denominator, the board, so if i cancel that out, I can tell which switch is actually higher or deeper in pitch, which is thocky, marbly, or maybe clacky. it would be difficult for me to tell which is which if i keep changing my board everytime. 🙇‍♀️

@@mczstudio there is little to no resonance in a plastic keyboard with a plastic plate and a silicone dampener. he has a point saying they sound all too similar.

Excellent review. If i may suggest, mount the mic arm to a separate table to avoid the slight desk thumping sound on your sound tests. :) Overall I'm sold, I bought these switches based off your sound test.

hi! Akko cream yellow has the creamiest typing feels of all three, Pom silver is more on a clackier sound profile, KTT kang white is thoccy/poppy, but not really creamy! ranking them for price, cream yellow is the cheapest at $0.19, KTT at $0.27 and POM at $0.37. all switches are good! now i think its already down to your preference 🤭🫶

Hi! I keep coming back to this video because it’s that good lmfao. Got my hands on the V3 cream yellows recently and they feel and sound absolutely amazing! I just wanted to ask what your mods were on this board? I want to buy aftermarket stuff like a plate, case, switch and plate foams, even tape for a tempest mod but I’m not sure which mods will bring out the untapped creamy sound in my current build.

helllo. this board is 90% stock! i’ve only added a tape mod and durock v2 for the stabs. the rest are from the DIY kit, here my vid build for that. only different switches. the sound profile and typing feel for me are much much similar to KTT Rose, the only different akko have longer stem. This switch is the best for its budget, I can't say it is better then KTT rose in term of budget friendly tho. But if you're planning on get around 'some' interference on Cherry profile, then this is the switch to go to.

Holy crap, those are the MOST budget priced switches I’ve ever seen. Not even Outemu’s infamous blue switches are that price, and these are cheaper by $2 :O

Would you say main difference between the V3 Cream-series is the operating force/spring gram, as well as a bit of sound profile?

ey, i'd say the main difference is the switches itself. as one is tactile, and one is linear. the rest of it, sound profile, OF, TF, just follows as it is 2 different system. What I could say that main similarity is it both smooth ah. Can never go wrong with any of the two, it'll just comes down to one's preference. hope this helps.

A re-colored and a bit heavier version of Kang White. It's a good option in my opinion, as the Kang White operation force is too light for my taste lol.

Its not a recolor, the kang white has a nylon bottom and this has a pc bottom

from some data it appears that ktt kang white and cream yellow have the same specs. but i feel like the ktt kang whites are lighter than the cream yellow. so if you prefer it lighter, then KTT is the choice. 😁

hii. if you want a decent pre-lubed switch, and doesnt mind paying extra, you can opt for KTT strawberries! they are smooth and sounds nice but it doesnt feel as creamy my preference between these too goes with Akko Cream Yellow. price and typing feels, and sound!

Hello!! I’ve tried both the gateron milky yellows and akko cream yellow v3. I’d say that in terms of the differences between the two, the gateron milky yellows are less creamy, heavier and work friendly since it’s a quiet switch. The cream yellow on the other hand is very creamy, foamy and not as heavy as the gat milky yellows. It’s a good kind of new if you wanna try it out! ^^

both is good. my first go to switch was the KTT kang white. id recommend both to anybody asking. and as both doesnt break the bank, just make sure to find the best deals for the ktt kang white as there are some third party seller i saw that sells higher than the others. personally, i felt like im getting more with what im paying for with the cream yellow and its nice packaging. (kinda petty but im a sucker for good packaging) but if that’s something not important to you. both is good.

hi~ you can add both the tape mod and the foam for your rk61 tho i cant really guarantee the same sound as this! i did build an rkg68 with tape mod and case foam and plate foam, the board is still overall kind of clacky. but i was using a KTT kang white that time and using an XDA profile keycaps.

Hehe hellow, I tried a few cs switches (radiant red, vintage white, matchas, jelly black, jelly purples, lavender purple, rose red, silver) I’d say that the cream yellow v3 us the creamiest of all cs switches I’ve tried. Even without lubing it, it sounds pretty good already. The heaviness of the switch is a lot like matchas though. Feel and sound wise the cream yellow v3 tops all the cs switches I’ve tried. Depending on your keeb build, these switches can easily sound very creamy and thocky.

no! kbd67 lite has a silicon switch pad. its called mute silicon i believe, so placing a pe foam is not possible! you can check my full video on it ~

@@mohamadharisarfan5993 i've only used it on 3 of my boards, and for me the best sounding is no doubt on the kbd67 lite. as i didn't do much mod on that board aside from the tape mod, yes i think it would still sound good. as the sound of the board doesn't depend solely on the switch alone, you might want to check out other creators who used the switch on different boards and different configurations and decide which is the best sounding for your personal preference!

they say the lighter the switch the better for gaming. cream yellows are not that light, thought not that heavy too. have you checked out any of akko's silvers?

Yeah, it's good for both gaming and typing. No need to use Silver/Silver speed switches unless you really need to spam keys like an OSU god lol.

i prefer linears, so I'd choose cream yellow anytime. but they're equally smooth and both feels good. the rest are up to own's preference

you have to check the number of keys included in the set that you’re buying. but usual set can fit 60%- 96% layout. check if also for ISO/ansi, it should be mentioned in the keycaps description page 🫡
