This is a great interview. Me and my dad met Nore in Miami the other day. We were in the same elevator. He and his friends was cool. I told him I watched the whole 5 hours of the Tony Yayo interview. He shook my hand and said thanks for the support. It's cool to see guys you seen your whole life actually be a normal dude in real life.
He is full of shit. If its so great then why is he over here with us? Wakanda was a movie! We leave and go over there and their ass would be here in 2 days.
Man, Akon is an amazing person. not just good as an artist. That short reply of "my ultimate goal is to build africe by starting the movement" that shows great active wisdom.
I’m from Ghana and I’ve been in love with this show from day 1. This one with Akon is special to me. Akon music save my life in 2007. I’m 25 now , Akon CD is the first CD I bought and listened to it like the Bible. I’m a producer in a Ghana now because of Akon. The guy changed the lives and the mindset of so many people here.... I still wake up every Sunday morning and listen to Akon music..... thank you doing this one for me and Thank Akon for being this remarkable and honorable role model for people like me. God bless you all
man them not drinking was actually a change of pace. them being sober let the guest not really get cut off as much, not much obnoxious laugh. this was a real smooth interview. Akon always been one of my fav artist.
@@Butta006 I saw that too Nore like. Damn, I wasn't expecting that answer! Along has my respect way more now ever. He's absolutely correct what he says about Africa in every aspect. I've worked in Nigeria, Dem. Rep of Congo. and Angola previously
GOAT tier guest apperance from Akon. He's dropping gems in a clear articulate way, and they still having fun with it too..... good shit, I wish all rappers on there spoke like this 🤣
@khulekaninyuswa721 there are a couple documentaries that say the same as he did. Maybe it's only in certain areas. I remember watching at least two of the docs years ago on RU-vid.
@@DBeautifulOne I can't believe yall actually believe what media wants people to believe, dude we've lived in South Africa our whole lives... But you know what,go ahead believe the lies you being told
@@flyingdove5780 Y'all go ahead and believe what media tells you... Just like how y'all believed that Iraq had mass distraction weapons and that they were this evil country!
@@hyrumkuru Akon has done a lot in getting Senegal recognition internationally through his music and his philanthropy, Akon city is only one of them the rest is Google able, do some research before saying ignorant stuff like that, good day lad
@@Curtis856Well you still haven't told me what he did. Let go off your ego and let's have a Convo. I know of Akon before you even knew he existed, back in the day around 95-96. I'm from the same place and haven't seen what you're claiming, hence my question. Again what did he do?
HES NOT INTELLIGENT, only to slow people like you is he intelligent. Akon is the number one person inviting china into africa to slowly take it over. Akon is so damn naïve he really believes China is going to help Africa! Watch in 50 years, china will have taken over Africa and robbed it of it’s resources to build china’s mainland up.
Akon is super cool. I met him in 🇩🇴 Santiago, Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 in the late 2000s. Akon deserves all the recognition he gets. He's talented and very humble. 🍾🥳 DRINK CHAMPS MAKE SOME NOISE! 🥳🍾
We eat jolloff in America too …It’s called “Red rice “ my cousin from South Carolina (Gullah island)makes it all the time and I ain’t realize it was the same thing until I tried jollof at this Nigerian spot in Queens ,Ny
I met Akon in like 2011. I was walking downtown Philly and he was randomly standing at a hotel door. We chopped it up.for about 5 mins like 2 regular men.
This is such a dope episode. I learned so much about Akon and his legacy. Much respect to Drink Champs and Akon. Keep it up 🙏. Peace and love from Indonesia
Ngl I love Nore and watch Drink Champs clips, but this is the first time I watch a whole 3hrs one. Happy I did that! Worth every second! Akon is an Icon fr man! I learned so much! Thank you y'all for real!
3:13:00 is at the end of interview that personally I think Akon gave one of the most important advice about creating an outstanding hiphop museum, and giving the opportunity for young artist both in the U.S. and internationally to learn and be informed about the founding fathers of culture, impacts and its evolutions.
i think youre talin about t pain, he's the only one i know wit a song called bar tender, but yeee t pain was signed to akon or some shit i think, look it up
Shout out to Akon on the K-Pop wave especially. He was on that before the U.S. mainstream even knew what it was! Back in the "underground" BTS days when they were a counterculture group! The man is the, respect to Pitbull, original mr. worldwide!
I remember this. 2012, I was living in South Korea at the time and he did one song "like money" with the Wonder girls and even came to a festival that summer. That's when I met him at the airport. All my family was there. We're Senegalese like him and at the time my dad was the ambassador. He even gave his card to Akon. Crazy day I'll remember forever.
Listening to Akon and this program touched me deeply, I hav been thinking suicide lately but this woke me up a lot, I laughed, teared and asked myself questions God help us Thanks Akon and Nore
Some of my most favorite songs are Akons! I super love Locked up, Shake that Ass, Soul Survivor, I'm missing A couple of them. Akon is Legendary Great! Proud he getting his flowers again. He damn well deserves them!
I'm at a point where I'm savoring the process of the grind and the levels are growth into the art of our potentials we become. Its never gets old. Very beautiful process in creation and build with creator intermingled empathy. Innovation.
Shouts to Akon's barber for having his best interest in his hands, than going against the grain..... Literally! 😂😂 As insightful as this interview is, i spent probably 43.1% of the time looking at his lineup.
That’s that universal blend. Beautiful! My Grandfather was born in Cuba, My Grandmother was from the Dominican Republic, Mom is from Trinidad, Dad’s from Jamaica, and I’m from South Jamaica Queens NYC!
We add on and improve and make things better,we don't preserve ignorance like white supremacists will to their own destruction! Truth is eternal and ignorance is destroyed always
I thought he was just an artist never thought he was a bigger player. Yeah nore is right akon is a genius. I even think he is more genuine than most of the big players and he sound really smart too. Also he planning to put lights on the whole africa and having his own city. Akon is on a different level and its very inspiring
As an African I can honestly and earnestly tell you that you have no idea what you are talking about. .just like your Akon lying about Africa, y'all should shut the hell up
Akon is so smart and I mean SO SMART and spiritual. I wasn’t expecting to hear all that intelligence I definitely learnt a lot from this and just to see how humble his been through his career is a bonus . Coming from east Africa you represent the entire Africa continent extremely well 👏🏾❤
