AKOYA inside The Langham Gold Coast is a modern Australian with a focus on seafood restaurant. Monday night was A la Carte menu.
We tried 3 main dishes ( my children ordered the same thing). The James Daltons Australian Bay Lobster was a generous serving but not the usual lobster I was use to and expecting. It was more like the Morton Bay bug texture but a bigger size. A little too creamy for my liking for the quantity served. Just too rich in the end and the lobster was just cooked if not a little under but hard to see clearly in the light and sauce covering it.
The fish of the day was a smaller size than what I was expecting.
The Pork Belly was the perfect size and taste out of the 3 dishes we ordered along with the fries.
Service at Akoya for dinner was adequate but not flash or to the high level I have experienced at other 5 star hotels. The seating was casual but elegant for the beach feel but dress code is Smart Casual which is appropriate and expected for this hotel level since it is The Langham Gold Coast.
Overall Akoya at The Langham Gold Coast was not outstanding. I have personally enjoyed better food and service at other venues on the Gold Coast.
I hope you enjoyed my quick video on the dinner option on a Monday night at The Langham Gold Coast inside Akoya . Akoya does offer a seafood buffet on friday and saturday nights but we have not tried
