@@AmericanGirl6128 unluckily I live in Italy. It will be difficult to ever see the ballets live. In a few years maybe we might be traveling again. But youtube does exist. And one of our TV channels gave the complete Giselle few months ago before this apocalypse ❤️

I'm preparing a ballet myself in honor of people who got lost in covid. I have american friends who are actually in the biggest mess ever. New York, but also Texas, Arizona. I ll put it here on my lil channel when it's ready. You know, having time. I'm home since March. The government put me in protection from job being one with chronic illness.

Watched this few days ago and it was “chill down on my spine” experience. Particularly this scene... I like that ghosts are en point and humans are on flat. Really works like that effectively that I thought this blonde ghost would appear in my bed room en point at mid night!!!

I'm not really a ballet fan, but I saw this on TV recently and it was possibly the best thing I have ever seen performed on a stage. Powerful orchestration, brilliant choreography and great costumes were complimented by stunning lighting and a back wall that almost became a character in it's own right. Incredibly moving. Congratulations to everyone involved in this production. I would love to see it live.

There's a reason Giselle could defeat even these terrifying Wilis. She was star-crossed with Albrecht -- not a victim of predation. Giselle forgave Albrecht because he was only trying to escape the trap of his life, but could not foretell meeting the radiance that is Giselle. It is a pure tragedy, and the Wilis, even Myrtha, yield before the justice to let both of them go. I support all productions that let us see that Albrecht was not a jerk ... or a predator.

Oui, les pointes comme moyen de capter différemment l’ énergie du sol lors de cette sorte de rituel initiatique et chamanique. J’ aurai ajouté un masque couvrant les yeux des danseurs ou un maquillage spécifique. Pour raconter l’ histoire autrement. Et s’ agissant de l’ interaction entre ces deux femmes, leurs placements théâtraux s’ inspirent, j’ ose l’espérer, de la tragédie grecque car ces derniers permettent un rapport à l’ espace scénique spécifique... Occasion unique pour le personnage d’ être face au vide avec ses émotions...

This is not the Giselle I would want to watch, I am all for for a bit of updating, but this is not even the ballet music by Adolphe Adam. Electronic made music, not an orchestra..sorry..I will avoid this like the plague. I like a traditional ballet, with an orchestra and classical choreography..
