Wow, flashbacks! Fun video! I had an Akromaster with an Enya 15 I flew 44yrs ago. My suspicion is the fuel tank is causing the issue as it happens with both engines. I think there's a problem with the feed line due to the constantly changing fuel/air mixture. Perhaps try a new fuel tank or move the brass fuel feed line to the outboard edge of the tank(directly behind the glow plug) and drawing fuel from the rear of the tank. That was the style of the old tanks I used to use.

Looks good Bill. I think the OS engine runs better.

Some parts of the country it is fairly popular. Some people fly electric powered control line. I fly glow and electric.

Greetings. What wood is the fuselage of this model aircraft made of, lime wood is good and must be thick, please, I await your reply. Thanks in advance

The plane is built mainly from balsa wood with some plywood in front of the fuselage.

I hope you get the fox sorted out. Head bolts, backplate, fuel tubing on the needle, glow plug, oil content and so forth.

I think the tank was much of the problem. The OS runs smoother tho.

Is that a Max 15 III? Yep, they are an early 1970s motor evolved from an original 1962 design. Baffled Meehanite (iron) piston & steel liner, not Schnuerled. Down on power compared to the later Schnuerled 15 FP-S ABN engine, but sufficient to run nicely on an APC 8x4 in an Akromaster which was designed around a venerable Fox 15 as its probable engine. As seen here without silencer, pretty much as perfect a motor as possible for a lightly built Akromaster. I have several of them, a couple still NIB. That Brodak tank appears to be a clone of the old 2oz Perfect. They work OK. Not the best design ever. I found the 2oz medium wedge Brodak's (BH-477) worked better. I've used both including that 2oz Perfect wedge design in an Akromaster and Peacemaker, although these days I prefer a 2oz clunk. Tank level, security and vibration elimination are particularly important with the tank you're running. I've built five Akros (two kits & three scratch built from tracings) and as many Peacemakers over the years. Try using a silencer and tank pressure to see if that improves run consistency. From the control input it looks a little CG tetchy as is so the nose will accept the extra weight. The OS Max 15 III is a very light engine as it is.

I switched to 8x4 APC and a different Brodak tank, there was something wrong with that one. It is strapped with Zip ties now and looks much neater. Yes Max III I have another in a free flight with a large venturi.

That fox 15 needs to be setup to be not rich at setup, 7x5 or 7x6 prop. Plus the tank height was set up wrong.

The OS ran better in this flight but I had trouble with it too and I switched tanks and it seems to run pretty consistent now. The Fox seemed to vibrate more than the OS.

Typical OS. Runs like a swiss watch. I have the RC version of this engine and I'm using it to nitro convert a foam FPV pusher plane. Also planning on using a heathkit 8ch single stick to control it.
