8:45 Malzahar blocks 3 shots instead of 1 because his spellshield is on a timer, and not on ability interaction. Other spellshields like Nocturne W or Sivir E are meant to block a single spell and immediately go off when they do so. Malzahar's shield lasts for half a second after he is hit with an ability. This is to prevent him being quickly bursted, forcing enemies to take his shield down before going for a combo. He also takes reduced damage from his shield instead of completely blocking abilities, but the reason it seems like he takes no damage is because the damage reduction he gets is 90+ percent.
@@colinkew4091 There's countless youtubers who made full gameplay videos with him just 30 minutes after he was out on PBE. When you want views and you have 2 weeks on the PBE to play a champ, you can make a lot of videos. But props to this guy for spending time figuring out how the champ works to post tips.
@@KawaiiKatarina look its not a big deal he made a guide before its released i just find it a bit funny hes not even out yet. I doubt 2 weeks in the pbe where riot is mainly looking for bugs warrants his kit being understood to a point where you can make a comprehensive guide. Hes going to be nerfed and buffed relentlessely like every new champ for the next 2 months, we dont even really know what role he will be played in competitively. I think your taking a bit of a banter to seriously but bravo to you for backing up your boy.
tips about passive's second attack is missing. you can also choose the second target for second shot even if first target didnt die. but it's all about timing, you should be fast.
Another nasty trick, that's a bit of an exploit: Runaans with Black Cleaver on any ranged champion will apply two stacks of Black Cleaver's effects to both the champion attacking and the champion(s) being attacked. With Akshan, this means that if a target champion is alone, attacking once without canceling the second shot will apply four out of six stacks of armor shred. With two or more targets, you'll fully stack the movespeed bonus simly by attacking once without canceling the second shot. With the maximum 3 targets, you'll have applied 12/18 stacks in one attack. Note that since Runaans does not count towards Akshan's E, he will not apply double stacks when using the E. Each shot will still apply one.
I don't know if it was something that doesn't work now but when I tested akshan I could E the turret without taking any towershot, it was really difficult but I did it multiple times
akshan looks so fun and the amount of combo wombos and strats are incredible even before he release i bet if he is balanced he will be one of the most fun champs to have or to fight the only thing that can piss the enemy are 2 things the revive after a huge teamfight and the fact that u ran away after a dive with 1hp just bc u used ur e and maybe his mains will be toxic who knows
u can move while ur hook is on a terrain without gliding, by using the "hit champions only button" to extend yourself or shorter your grappling hook ( spaghetti code riot)
The most important thing people should learn from Akshan is about mastering and controlling his auto attacks. His autos works either Jhin's AA or Lucian's passive. Since this champ's AAs aren't built for kiting coz attack speed items only reduces his AA animations. People should trade his AA properly by either bursting opponents by 2 autos procs or a safe trade by attack --cancel auto since this guy has a fix AA speed and more built for mobility like jhin
@@minnie5434 it's a great idea but since his range is kinda low so it is a little dangerous for him to stay and auto multiple time, maybe burst item like how lucian recently build.
@@KhangTran-df1qx yes, i think the champ rewards you to build AD and not attack speed,he doesn't scale as well as other carrys with attack speed, has a low ramge. The champ is not designed to make dps, he is a burst carry, with tools to flank and kill squishy targets, that play style doesnt match with runan at all.
If you narrate the less informative parts of the video you could take the effort to narrate the whole thing, it would help to separate your content from the other tips& tricks videos and make it more digestable at the same time.
As an Akshan spammer who climb on Diamond, i don't recommend using this combo. Most of the damages come from Akshan's E, and he using E to get easily auto attack, so clumsy. My tip here is: try to engage early dual with ignite and E, i'm never afraid losing in dual; sneak to the enemy and last hit with swinging around them and swing out. I only said the trick he using with E to dodge objectile is the only useful one besides the combos.
one thing you missed: if you want to get to lain quick, but not loose mana with an E, you can E on the nexus from the steps, and swing round lain, this will give time for the mana spent to regen ^-^
Great video , thank you! i just tested on wild rift too seems like E swing doesn't glide across terrain like how forgiving you did in the base at 7:03 , hope rito fix it!!! and i cant do the wall push at 6:37 (wr ver) lmk if anyone could do it XD
Thought Akshan was the worst champion right now with 30% winrate global but mastering how he works I have 60-70% winrate with him. You deserve more views
"You don't even need to hit them to see them in a bush" ...And they nerf Trundle's pillar where it no longer gives vision... Give the Troll back his pillar vision riot if you're babying these new releases with all these overloaded abilities.
i love the e, but the w's trails are so much better than warwicks trails its amazing, oh invis eve killed bot lane, well now i know her exact position and path for a full min :)
I died while I'm hooking and I had ga so my corpse just went flying and it spun straight back into the enemy (I was spinning from their base using middle inhib)
good stuff also there's an interesting interaction with stridebreaker, you can cast it while swinging and it won't stop your e which is great for chasing, the item stats also seem good on him might need to experiment more
I tried playing Akshan like 10-15 games and came to the conclusion that you can't just play him. He is fun, but I don't wanna bother putting in efford to something that gets shit on by the slightliest bad matchup. Imagine you are Diamond, playing against bronze and that pantheon just completely utterly destroyed me after one base. He is not that bad, but me its just a shit champ. x)
