Thank you Akshay Kumar, and the Director for the movie Airlift, it brought goose pimples while watching the movie, as I was in the evacuation in 1990 when it happened, it brought back all the memories back to my mind what we went through how we crossed Iraq, Amman, Jordan and finally reached India, It took us 10 days .Thanks to Indian Government for bringing us Indians back from Kuwait.Beautifully and so realistically portrayed. Thank you again!!! Every year on August 2nd I pray for all the people who lost their lives in Kuwait in 1990.

I have watched Homeland and the character of Nimrut kaur was the one I hated most ,but the lunchbox and airlift really changed my view towards her. Did anyone else notice Akshay Kumar's ginormous shoes?

I just wish the main characters in the movie AIRLIFT were truer to the real story by having South Indian actors play the main role rather than Akshay who btw did a great job but portrayed a Punjabi, Sikh character (why?!). On the contrary, the negative role was played by a "south Indian" who was stereotyped as impatient, industrious, unkind, self-centered and spoke hindi in a heavy (funny) accent This stereotype/discrimination needs to change in the industry if we are to make progress. All in all, I'm so proud to be an Indian and applaud the brave people behind the real story and the movie. Sincerely, An ordinary North Indian

I appreciate akshay kumar, but the situation of Indians was not as bad as described in this movie. I was there in Kuwait at that time and Iraqi's treated us well as India was Neutral country in the war...No Indian was harassed or killed by Iraq Soldiers. Most of the dead were Kuwaiti Soldiers, police and Kuwait resistance members between gunfights with Iraqi forces. Even Normal Kuwaiti citizens were not killed just because they were Kuwaiti...Only if they were suspected of being members of Army or Underground resistance they were taken to prison or killed. Also there was plenty of Food in Kuwait despite borders closed , as the supplies were brought in from Iraq and Jordan by Road. Electricity was there 90% of the time. It was only in the kuwait liberation phase when Water and electricity issues started due to bombing of Electricity and water Salination plants in between January and February 25th 1991. All Indians left Kuwait by September 25th 1990. The Accuracy of this movie is not correct in regards to Indians safety in Kuwait. .
