This is our room tour of the Akti Beach Club, Family Maisonette in Kardamena on the beautiful Greek island of Kos.

With not only one, but two balconies and two en suites this room is ideal for families with both young children and older children.
The bathroom amenities were great with one bathroom having a bath and shower and the other a walk in shower. The hairdryer was very good, just as good as the one I have at home.
There was plenty of storage space, wardrobes and drawer space and a fridge, ideal to keep drinks and snacks cool. There was even an ice tray!
The beds were super comfy and got a good nights sleep every night. Evening entertainment stopped at a reasonable hour so noise disruption wasn't a problem.
There was a safe to use in the wardrobe and a good amount of plug sockets.
Pretty perfect in our eyes!

Are all family rooms a maisonette? Or do you have to book that?

Hello 👋🏻 There are few types of family rooms I believe. From open plan to one's with another room, then up to your maisonette and pool suites. If you book with Tui there is usually an option of which type of room you'd like to book. Hope this helps 🙂

We’ll have a 16yo and a 19yo and when booking here they are giving us the ‘adults only’ maisonette, although we normally booked 2 separate double rooms? did you see much of the adults only area?

Hello! 👋🏻 Oh are they really, I'd recommend the maisonette. We thought it was lovely and a great size. I'm afraid we didn't see the adults only area, I think there is another RU-vid video which shows it as I'm sure I spotted it when we were looking to book. I think it is a quieter pool and I don't think there is a bar area from what I've read. Sorry I'm not much help on that side of things 🙈

@em853903 I'm sure you'll not be disappointed. 🤩 I wished more hotels had rooms like these. Our eldest Spencer is getting to an age where we would have to have a separate room for him. I'll be on a mission to try and find hotels which can have us all in one room like this from now on, we still felt like we all had our own space. I hope you all have a great time! 🤗

Oh bless him, I feel you, we had interconnected rooms 2 years ago (which would be a good option for you guys?) and that went well, this year we had 2 separate rooms but 5 rooms down from each other🫣🫣 but it worked out fine! It’ll be nice to all be together but still have space for each other! Thanks again 👍
