Akuma faces wherever he wants to face. It's the cameraman who scrambles to the correct position during all the confusion of the Shun Goku Satsu, but spectators of the technique do not see what's going on until Akumas done, and the cameraman is already perfectly centered on Akumas back to make him look even more badass.
I love the street fighter V version, and how detailed it is instead of just lots of punching effects, he starts out with slow strong punches and later goes on into a barrage of punches.
Akuma has one of the most menacing finishing moves in Street Fighter... You could be in another room and as soon as u hear those combos you know its him...arguably the best player on SF.
I really hope it's going to be like sv5. I remember when I first saw it used on me when I was starting out I thought it looked so cool how it slows and ends.
I'd like it really if he retains the Raging Demon move. But the raging Demon move should be like in Street Fighter V, where you can see how Akuma destroys his opponents in darkness and also in the ending part where the hitmarkers would be present.
Definitely the greatest finishing move in fighting game history. 6:38 Also it's a bit ironic but I think the Tekken version is by far the best one. Like it has everything in the perfect rhythm, and the sound effects are extremely satisfying
I love the style that 3rd Strike's finisher version has, with the flames surrounding him. It really matches the intensity. But the mounting damage that Capcom Fighting Evolution's has is my favorite.
I love how you can see the progression of the shun Goku satsu get progressively faster and faster over the years. Perhaps, even akuma, despite his already immense strength, he two has been getting stronger and stronger as time passes...
5:45 The SF 4 version is my favorite. The way he screams as he does it really makes it feel like he's trying his absolute hardest to kill his opponent.
Raging Demon (瞬獄殺, Shun Goku Satsu) is one the most powerful yet special moves to execute with just simple buttons! Believe me, I’d hafta that fricking combo on training mode every day!
6:44 the Tekken team didn't need to give AKUMA that Story mode version for his DEMON, BUT IM GLAD THEY DID. I love the extra details. AKUMA and G are my all time favorite SF Characters.
@@azakranos8100 use too. That Demon effect was only if SHIN AKUMA KO'd u with it in the special last Boss fight. Then in Season 3 it became the normal Finishing if u won the whole match.
There are different versions of the same title for instance street fighter 2 , and super street fighter 2. But the games shown im pretty sure are different ones like , Alpha, Marvel vs capcom, street vs snk,
I think the perfect raging demon for me would be a combination of both the one in 3rd strike and the one in sfv. You land the hit, it goes through the whole animation of Akuma hitting you over and over in the darkness, a short pause after the last hit, then the win pose. Hope they do something like this in sf6 once akuma’s released
It’s impressive how M. Bison survived Shun Goku Satsu from sheer durability alone, considering how it wields all of the unforgiving sins of your soul against you and destroys you. M. Bison is literally the most evil person in the whole series.
Always appreciated the games that allowed Akuma to keep his pose looking away from you as his win pose after a KO. It doesn't interrupt the fact someone just got bodied by a demon
How nostalgic, we called "death from hell" when i was kid I accidentally discovered this move. Since then whenever we hit arcade my friends won't let me choose Akuma when we play street fighter 🤣🤣🤣
I don't much care for versions where you actually see him hitting someone. Personally I prefer the menace and mystery of the screen going black followed by his opponent lying unconscious at his feet.
The old saying goes, the mystery is better than the truth. What's the fun in knowing what's happening as opposed to the screen goes blank and we hear the barrage of blows and the opponent screaming in agony? We're left to imagine the evisceration, and it's more fun that way!
I had so much fun using Akuma in Marvel vs Street Fighter. He wasn't on the roster, you had to enter a code at the character select screen on the arcade cabinet to get him. I would pair Akuma with Ryu, Ken, or Sagat. That Tiger Genocide was sick.
One of my favorite moves in the history of Street Fighter, oh my goodness the mystery behind "What hits did he do!!" back in the day was some kinda special xD
MvC3 amd SFV definitely handled the evolution of the original source the best. Would not have nearly as much impact without the ambiguity of every version before it, but because of that they are beyond the best versions.
I remember being 11 and picking up Street Fighter 4 on the 3DS because I’ve heard of a Street Fighter before. I found this move 5:45 and thought it was the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. My newfound life as an edgy teen was never the same after that.
The SFV one is almost the perfect combination of the previous variants; however, I think that adding firey aura on Akuma himself from that one game and a much more raw upper angle from 2:05 would really make it pop. That, or the lower angle that follows it.
2:15 wow. this is the most interesting one. the amount of extra work to make sprites for one character's move is crazy, and appreciated to an akuma fan like me
3:15 in my opinion this is the best one It really give this demonic killing intent look of akuma rather than just being an awesome K.O ending Top 2 is the SFV version because damnnnnn it really feels like your the one being beaten up by akuma like the sound and the beating are realistic that you almost feel a bit of sympathy to your own opponent Top 3 is the Tekken 7 well because graphic and how cool it ends
I’m a Japanese person who actually played Street Fighter II. Watching Akuma's super special moves makes me realize just how amazing and powerful they were.🤗
@@ToonyTails bru I been knew that and I consider myself ultra greenhorn at SF games, with the anniversary collection the only victories I pull off against ultra hard AI is lucky mashing ones lmao, also i know very well this is just reused sfVI shun goku satsu asset, I also wanted it to incorporate like short purple flashes with each death punch, especially with Akumas' ONLY Tekken appearance they could have done SO MUCH MORE!!😩
Notice how the announcer during SFIV doesn't say KO if you finish the opponent with Shun Goku Satsu, that either means it's a oversight or the opponent was killed due to the attack.
as Akuma approached the modern day it felt like [they gotta evolve this move in a special way] & the last 3 clips totally lived up to it... literally (literally) was shook 🥶
@@aznbreakerboi51o or classic Sub-zero in the same game. It actually starts with a grab before the screen goes black and you just hear the death scream.
