I guess with all the people we've found out about over the years who did horrible things, its hard not to look at this and wonder. I mean, this old dude surrounded by tons of really little kids constantly is a bit weird, right?
Only in Philly! The first little girl's joke is: "Why did the silly girl eat bullets for breakfast? lol... Because she wanted to start the day off with a bang!" Bullets for breakfast, only a joke you would hear out of a little kid's mouth on Saturday morning TV in Philly!! I'm from Tacony. I loved this show too but was also jealous of all the kids that got to be on there.
Get a grip on reality, its a show were kids got to show some talent, It help a lot of people in those days. Its better than the stuff you see now, with little girls being dressed up like adults lady, for some sick ass person, exploited like crazy.
OMG AL ALBERT!! How I wanted to be on this show...looking back it seems a bit creepy now. But more creepy then anything is why his voice sounds like President Trump to me!!!!!
Al looking off-camera for a little help with the setup for Melissa Lynn's joke, because her Delco accent is too thick for him to understand, is my favorite part of this video.
I was thinking that too. Growing up there, we didn't have much of a chance to pronounce words well. My cell phone still doesn't understand what I'm saying lol!
Can't believe how much I miss those Sunday mornings. This was just a show we put on and the worse the show was and the more gaudy the kids' dresses and the lousier the singing, the more we loved it. Al Alberts lived near us in Newtown Sq., PA and we'd see him from time to time in the local stores and he was truly a very nice man. These were sweeter, more innocent days.
