My wife passed on April 15 this year we were together for 47 years this is our song HOW DO YOU FORGET SOMEONE YOU WERE WITH THAT LONG SHE WAS ONLY 60 😢😢
George Michael wrote Careless Whisper, Young Guns and Wham Rap at 19. Hansen was even younger. What helped Sure/Brown was winning Quincy Jones' attention. His producing was great, too.
Haven't heard it in decades. Those 80s my friend with so many songs. Heard it the 1st Friday of 2020 with a smile on my face after cuddling my lady friend
Oh My Gosh; There Will Never be Another Song or Al B. Sure. I was in Highschool, I met My First love, I dated him for 4 years. This Song will NEVER, get Old. He has a Soothing Distinct Voice. Take Care
that's because R&B, hip hop and soul as we knew it, is DEAD. Culture Vultures and sellouts have taken over our music since year 2000. Collect it while you can. You wont hear this quality of stuff again.
listening Friday night in L.A. 2024. Classic R & B filled with passion, soul and still sounds as good as it did when it dropped when I was 17 years old. Where is the music these days? We love and miss it. Thank you Al B Sure
Man when r&b was love songs and ballads, songs you could dedicate to your boo, 80’s and 90’s r&b just hits different. R&B is pop now and about being nasty, this is the type of music that makes you believe love is real
Back when “downloading” meant you sat by your boombox with record+play+pause pressed down, waiting for your local hot radio station to play this song so you could “download” it to your Maxell or TDK cassette, then later that night, after the club, you would replay it cuddle up next to a shorty you pulled lol The good old days when people could still dance haha
@@texasag6297 and afterwards travel back to the 1970s & 1980s to really hear some Gem Music and the Fabulous Bands that we had. During those two Decades🙋🏾♀️
The clothes, the style, and the type of 80s music were priceless. We don't know how much we miss something until either nostalgia sets in. For example, the 2000s celebrated the 80s. Now, 35 to 40 yrs later, we who love 80s music of any genre still keep the memories alive. Just a quick note on nostalgia. I fell in love with the 60s. A club I frequent call "Memories in Margate" played many nostalgic 60s music 🎶. Then the party 🥳 started after 10 pm with 80s dance music 🎶. 😁
Here after hearing the news today about Al B Sure waking up after a coma, he was a huge part of my childhood 😢 and so here I am playing homage to this legend you got this Al B. 🙌
Who else listened to this song in their bedroom in junior high and just thought about their crush? This is just one of those songs that triggers a very specific memory. It's still holds up today too. I don't think I know a single person that doesn't like this song. It will always be one of my favorites ❤
You ain't lying...me and my Baby have been together 25 yrs now and we are in love more now than back then, songs like these keep that spark turning into a blaze, the kids today don't have that in their music, WE ARE BLESSED!!!
We riding with you Al B sure! The most high sees everything! We know you loved your family …You woke up from that coma for a reason…………R.i.P Kim Porter❤
I have this as the 2nd greatest song of all time, to put my taste into perspective I have "Baby I Need Your Loving " by the Four Tops as the best song ever.
You're right, it stuck in a loop when it was originally released, but i didn't know who sang it, i only found out a little while ago, i like Quincy's version better, but take no credit away from his dads originality. Both sound great.
Just came here because I saw that he just woke from a coma. I had actually forgotten all about him. Glad he's doing better. Pray he recovers completely.
I was a young kid back when New Jack Swing was out and loved the sound. I thought it was gonna last forever 😭 so when I listen to these songs, I'm in my happy place. These sounds and new wave got me into synthesized music because I wanted to recreate my favorite songs 😅
Dear Al. B I'm not sure if my words will ever reach you but I want you to know how much I appreciate your art that you have shared with the world. I really love the tones and melodies and hamonies of your singing. And I really think you are an amazing songwriter! I especially love this song Night and Day, "The Secret Garden", the song "Goodbye" you wrote for Tevin Campbell and the song with my name "Natalie". I feel your singing and the lyrics you write always conveys how passionate and deep you are and how you see the beauty of life and project it into the songs you make. You have fans all over the world! If you ever decide to tour in UK London I will be there for sure
My sister was crazy about this dude. He was tearing it up back then on the airwaves. N.Y. had a pulse back then. It isn’t the same and I know I’m not the only one that sees it and feels it.
I was and still is crazy about him. But your correct NY dont have that feel anymore. I used to travel through their alot and it was a feeling ive never got anywhere else in the world and i lived all over. I still love NYC but its not the same.
I agree. I’m in my mid 20s so I missed the 90s. But idk NYC feels like now everyone just is like “I’m from NYC so I’m cool”. Whereas back then, NYC was just naturally cool because of how much pure talent was coming out of the city. Personally I don’t care for the drill music going on rn. It ain’t my taste. And I know the murder rate was worse back then, but the music now just is about killing and dissing each other’s dead homies. It’s no talent imo. No clever rhyme. No lyrical genius. Same beats. Maybe I’m just an “old head”. But NYC lost its flavor I believe
@@traceymasonperry9302 I agree I’m native New Yorker born raised and let me tell you in those days it was a time to be alive in New York City in the late 80’s and 90’s music was phenomenal then came 9/11 the innocence feeling was gone forever.
This definitely is from my era! What wonderful memories this song brings me and I'm still bumping it in 2023! Al B Sure is truly a legend and has given us timeless classics that will be played for years. Al B Sure deserves his flowers now for gracing us with his God given talent. Love, light, and blessings Al B Sure 💞
This is the birth of what the iconic 90’s R & B would be, such as En Vogue, Eternal, All Saints, Ultra Nate, TLC, Boys II Men, Xscape, Allure, Dru Hill etc etc. this is it this is its birth so thank you Al B Sure, thank you without this you wouldn’t even have epic gorgeous songs like George Michael & Mary J Blige’s gorgeous silky take on Stevie Wonders “As” one of my favourite R & B besides Brand New Heavies Shelter Album which is unbeatable for R & B as lead singer for Heavies at time Siedah Garrett also wrote one of Michael Jackson’s biggest hits “Man In The Mirror” but those 2 especially En Vogue, Eternal, All Saints, Brand New Heavies & George Michael Mary J Blige take me right back to my teens going out clubbing, it was such a decade the 90’s would become all because of this song by Al B Sure, Enigma even adds R & B I can’t thank this man enough for leading way to so many epic R & B hits that transport you instantly back in time to most famous decade since 60’s I adore 60’s 70’s & especially 90’s
This song puts you in the 80's - 90's mood instantly. The sounds and instruments in this classic typifies that era to perfection. The video too shows the realness.. when music was music!
Born in 92. Heard this song for the first time maybe around 01-02 in Chris Rock’s Head of State movie. Caught my ear then but never thought chase it down. Man the age group before me had classic after classic. Some in my era too but wish I was born earlier to capture the 80’s too!
Al B Sure knew what he was doing when he wrote this 🤭🩷 One of my favorites in high school and I still listen to this every day!! Thank you for the amazing music and memories this track brings back🫶🏻
It’s such a beautiful thing for a man to set his pride aside and actually tell you how he feels about you. It’s so refreshing. Especially when you also can’t stop thinking about him as well. Al B Sure is singing about something that feels so good to hear knowing you can actually experience that with someone else openly
@@clarencemcgill7618 Talk about "hitting different" I'm 46 yrs fine and please take my wisdom and know that women strongly do care. Probably too much💯❤
Yooo! I thought I was the only one cracking up at this! But what about when he jumps his booty up on the ledge at 1:29 like the roof is hot!! LAWD, give me strengths!
