wow so powerful I've been there. i'm tattoo and pierced. I was a convert and love the church for a couple of years. but through meeting a bad member who told my little brother to step up and be the leader and so forth. that destroyed me that he would try to turn us against each other. then we had bishops that forgot about his sheep and home teachers who didn't come. I was so lost then I came across Al Carraway videos a week ago. you know what I learned from her is go back for me nobody else because my relationship with the man up stairs is important to me. i'm scared to death because I've moved far away and I've been away from the church for 17 years. will it be easy nope do I have to start over yup but i'm up for the challenge

Al I would love to speak with you. I share a powerful conversion in the Savior as well coming back into activity in 2010. I was 23 years old and almost died from alcoholism. I am writing my book on my conversion to Christ and the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Your conversion resognates with me heavily and the first time I heard of you years ago I knew I was not alone. The spirit was palpable and I knew that you were true. Words cannot even describe what the feeling of the Holy Ghost ,our Father in Heaven and Our savior Jesus Christ when I see others who are laying the foundation for greater things and those hard difficult things you are softening the hearts of even the most thick headed people in and out the church. The sufferings and persecutions we have gone through have helped us understand what the Savior did and continues to do. I was rejected by our own people in the faith and that hurt. I know what's it's like growing up inactive and never living in Utah coming into to Utah bubble and having same warnings to stay away. Christ was rejected by his own. The prophets and apostles have thus been calling us as a church to stop this foolish behavior and treat each other with love and more respect. To not judge and to stop it. Al if I met you in Utah I would have felt like seeing a member of the 70 or the 12. Thank you for following those promptings and helping build the kingdom here on Earth. I would love to meet your dad and tell him what a profound impact you have had on so many people!!!!!!! Your light, your energy, your spirit is so bright!!!!!! My background that I have come from going through the depths of godly sorrow to now singing the song of redemption and sharing this life giving change of nature that comes from His Atonement. Feeling things that I cannot explain in such profound ways make sense only through thy Holy Ghost and feeling that fire burning in my chest. I am now 36 years young and almost 13 years sober and fully faithful and active in the Church and will never look back. Al thank you and bless you!!!!!!!!
Only member of my family, Same feelings, same story. Lost all my present possessions. Know the feelings, but it’s worth it. Gospel it’s not easy indeed, but willing to chance the course of our lives gives us the hope that we’ll earn the ultimate gifts from The Lord.
What an amazing speaker. She can create the tearful voice, the joyous voice, the saddened voice. ...she can carry the audience emotions all over the place and bring it all around to her point! No wonder she travels all over and speaks for LDS ~ she’s good!!
RU-vid ads now runs on any channel across RU-vid whether the channel is monetized or not. Unfortunately, we have no control over that we are looking into solutions currently.

Seems that she’s created a whole identity, attention, and income streams around having tattoos. Couldn’t a wealthy member step in and donate to help her start the tattoo removal process? At the same time, I’ve had time to lose weight, but here I am, still way too fat. I guess I should write some books about fat pride or something, then make money telling people my sins are not sins. (They are.) I forgive her for not knowing or doing better. We all need to repent and be better. Did this talk coincide with a Deseret Book product launch? Stir up some fresh attention for a new book?
@@mattctr I’m confused by the “telling people my sins are not sins” part of your comment. I’ve not heard that from her messages. She is a talented communicator with a passionate testimony. At the time of this devotional I believe she was a full time employee of the church (not promoting a book).
