Al Green, the legendary soul singer, recently caught the internet’s attention when he performed Vashawn Mitchell’s gospel hit "Nobody Greater" at a church service. #youtube #religion #algreen #vashanmitchell
Regardless of denomination, that just might be the most successful Pastor in the country relative to the music industry. (More than even Winans, Sapp or Tye) If you get rebuked by that, be quiet and listen lol.
He has a right to rebuke his musicians. musicians bc they are supposed to follow him. They got it right afterwards. He sounds good. But, I don't approve of him doing concerts. When serving Jesus, you can not love two Masters, he has to pick a side. He has to separate from worldly things.
He has a ministry, and some ministers also have a secular job. Can I be a pastor and an accountant at my job? Can I be a pastor and be a lawyer? Can I be a pastor and be a MUSICIAN? Can Paul be a minister and a tent maker? I say yes to all the above...as long as you honor God. Al's music is wholesome. He is singing about things even Christians go through...Love and Happiness, even how to men's a broken heart! He isn't using vulgar language, he isn't talking about engaging in sin like other well known artists. I can play his music with my kids in the car. It is his job, his trade he uses to make a living. Now if your job requires you to sin (sex work, hood rapper, promote alphabet community) that's a different story.
