I'm Mother Jones and I love you Rev AL Green I live in Greenville SC and I'm happy to be here I'm seventy year old and I enjoy your singing from the time I was old enough to know good music I just love to praise God it's a blessing to hear you sing God bless you and keep you safe in his care love you mother Jones if you ever come to Greenville SC and do a concert I will be glad to come I never been to one but if the Lord bless me I'll be more than happy to come see you God bless you always
Al Green sings a song like you and me put on a suit. He gets inside it, and he makes it his own. He respects the material, even as he takes it over and turns it into an Al Green song. He had me from the get-go. (That's fifty years ago, lord have mercy.) The man is a treasure.
I pay a hundred bucks a month to keep a signed picture of Al Green in a storage unit in a town I've not lived in in 12 years , bc the night he signed it , he kissed me . Al Green is worth every last cent of that fortune and more !
Just to clear things up: The bass player is Reuben Fairfax, the drummer is Tim Dancy, the keyboard player is Johnny Brown, and the electric guitar player is James Bass.
True ...it is Pure, it is Genuine, it is R&B Soul Music, and it is Al Green, the Platinum Talent and I have loved this man and his music since I was 12 years old - 71/72. It never gets old or faded. ...and these 2 ladies sing the arse' off too. (arse' is Irish for butt) 😉 Love this man...
Doesn’t look like or sound like THE Linda Jones of I just can’t livemy life on Warner Brothers… For your precious love etc..Gutted as lve never seen a video of her
I can lose my work, lose my girl, and be in the worst day of my life, i just have to listen to this song, sing with him, and everything instantly turns ok, and i thank the lord for what he puts on my way.Thank you.
Yes your are so right,, I lost my beautiful husband. Trusting Jesus to give me strength every day....He Does... Our Heaven a Father. Will never leave or forsake us.. There's a special place with our name in heaven. When Jesus takes our hand..🎶gives us a new song every day..
That's the tightest and most tasteful drumming I have ever heard, he keeps it so simple and goes nuts at the end. And what singing, what great band all round 👏 xx
*Now, "This is R&B"* Love, Love, Love this video/audio. This is my favorite Al video/audio that I've found on RU-vid. "?" Cause it us the real sound at the Frequency of Al Green that I recognize as "the R&B I identify with"... ... and it is Timeless
I wasn't a believer, but I sure as hell am now after seeing this! As if Al Green wasn't enough, the 2 women are outrageously good! A religious experience!
Somebody got me some the such a bad mood feeling frustrated and irritated I've had the Lord my heart for so many years he knew exactly what I needed he turned me to he put Al Green in my heart such beautiful gospel music about Lord Jesus Christ itself in my heart and got me back in the right place thank you Jesus
*Al Green remains the most Real Soul and R&B Artist he's always been. Al Green is a Stars STAR like Louis Armstrong, Ray Charles, and Joe Williams were.* *Everyone Genuinely Loves Al* and I look back at my 1972-73 self (13 yrs old, I was digging Al Green, my fav and everyone knew it then and all through my journey) Pretty good taste for a pre teen. Great intimate venue and *these ladies have perfect sound and style to work on stage with Al Green*! Best Wellbeing Al Green and to all your Friends and Fans ... Tennessee, USA 😘
2:44 "I need just a little bit more cord" haha thats so good how he just blended a joke into the song. . He is such a natural when it comes to singing and performing.
Just marvelous... Ladies, musicians, the great Rev. Al Green...Ms.Wanda is so beautiful❤This song is swayeeee... Oh Holy Ghost.... 😍Love from Bangalore, India
@@rudydogg9492 her name may be Linda Jones, but she can't be The linda Jones.she would be dead by the time this was filmed, and she looks nothing like her.
This song shows such a beautiful spirit in Al Green. I am so blessed by his music and can't wait to see more of his spiritual songs posted. He is arguably the best singer/entertainer ever to grace a stage. This video cracks me up in so many ways. Al is my kind of people, "Ah what's y'all talkin' bout?" Them girls really did a fine job also.
The quality of this recording, a LIVE recording, is beyond belief! How many gorgeous performances like this will we never see because the tapes are sub par.
