@@robbyharrison101 Dude what are you on about i have watched his films for most of my life and i dont care if he is religious or not, Im guessing english is not your first language as you have missed the point of me calling him alegend, I mean in the film industry not as some icon to be worshipped.
Out of all people the last person I ever expected to be at the game awards is Scarface himself. But although I'm shocked to see him here I'm still glad to see him
So often, celebrities brought into the Game Awards feel a little stiff and dismissive, like they're only there because their publicist forced them to, and that they feel the whole thing is beneath them. This is a wonderfully genuine presentation from Al Pacino. He doesn't pretend he's some super nerd or great lover of games, but he also doesn't resent showing up or have a dismissive attitude toward the whole ceremony. It'd be easy for the Godfather to treat this as a kids show, but even though, as he says, video games aren't his thing, he recognizes their legitimacy as an art form and especially recognizes that voice actors serve a crucial role in that art form. It was a great presentation. Personable, genuine, and respectful.
Literally the first thing I realized. I was like oh, he's going to be just another celebrity who hates being there. Plus we probably had prejudices because of the type of roles we know him for. But in actuality, he seems like a very nice and genuine guy. It says a lot about a person when thet respectfully partake in something that is outside of their generation.
That was one of the moments that the game hit you in the face with stuff that applies to real life. Chris judge should be a live action Kratos ASAP before age is an obstacle.
@Aarush Kumar I understand what you're saying. I didn't watch the whole award show. I only saw sample sizes of it. Just playing devil's advocate but maybe the standing ovation for GOTY. Was due to a developers recognizing another developer. Heck man, star struck is a real. Al Pacino was probably the last person anybody at the award show. Expected to pop out of the blue.
are you saying every actor and legend are called "Jesus" everyday or called "followers of Jesus" or "followers of God" everyday no matter who they believe in?
Couldn't have been awarded to a better person. Very humble, down to earth. Met him about 7 years ago at a comic con for his role in Stargate and had a great conversation with him about how he was working on a new project and that was for God of War.
He probably got told he was presenting an acting award, which he did. I imagine they skipped the part about video games because much as I love him, people of a certain genuinely do not understand them and what they entail these days.
You can straight up tell Chris did not expect to win. So humble, my guy was trying hard to thank everyone. He also looks like a guy who never caught a break and I’m so happy for him, that he had his moment of validation that he is a somebody and not a nobody.
Humble? A regular suit wasn't enough? 🤣🤣 he HAD to wear gold everything? That's humble to you? He knew he was winning which was amazing and well deserved but let's not go off saying things like "humble"
Scarface: The World Is Yours definitely deserve a remaster for the current and next gen consoles. A severely underrated gem and a worthy pseudo-sequel to the 1983 movie.
Any one close to, or as deserving as Christopher here is Charlotte mcburny. Her voice for Amicia in Plague tale requiem nothing short of Incredible. She deserves a Huge applause.
They really should have separate categories for actors and actresses like everywhere else. Like the girls could have just got up and left after the first award was given.
Not to take away from God of War, but Al Pacino is for sure one of my favorite actors, and an awesome video game character himself refering to Scarface: The World is Yours, and many other references in numerous games like GTA and others.
Al Pacino wasn't actually in the game, just his face. The performance was done by a soundalike. But he did give his stamp of approval to the voice actor.
Honestly: my highlight of the Game Awards - and the Game Awards have been awesome in pretty much every other aspects!!! Yes, he is old and no gamer, but hey: he is easily one of the all time greats in any type of entertainment.
Honestly the godfather and Scarface videogames were excellent and introduced those movies and Pacino to a generation in the late 2000's. He's probably too old to appreciate games as an art form and a medium but he might know how impactful games can be.
@@Axxxel_in_Harlem Probably, it's what they do at the oscars when actors take too long. Though here it just made him sound more epic as he was finishing.
The greatest actor in history (atleast my opinion), presenting the award to the most iconic voice in gaming. Both their speeches were genuine and warming.
