Realizing the librarian of his nightmares must surely now be dead, Al finally returns the library book he's had on loan since he was a boy.
From Married With Children, Season 3 Episode 1, 'He Thought He Could'. Al discovers a library book that was due in 1957. He must return it to the library and face up to his worst childhood fear: the librarian.

About Married with Children:

The librarian was played by the late Lu Leonard. She goes all the way back to the days of early TV with "My Little Margie and "Car 54, Where Are You?". She appeared in the 3 Stooges short "Husbands Beware" as Larry's wife. She died in 2004 at the age of 77

I had a mean teacher in elementary school, they should have psychological testing done before letting people become teachers, and have annual surveys of students to see if the teachers are abusive. Abuse can come in many forms.

I had a legendary one, first lesson she said to all the room she lectured it was a educated person and very above all of us, we would not amount to nothing in life, a bunch of lowlifes and it was even a boon to us she would give english lessons... ( it translated roughly from my language but i do think was close enough ). Of course, it was a public school and didn't went so well, the louder boys in the back stated to call "choupana" (the name of a strip club), every time he entered... In time she was allocated to another school.

What is worse? 1) A grown woman hating a 10 yr old boy and holding a grudge for 30 years 2) A library system with no statute of limitations, able to fine you 30 years later for what you did as a 10 year old minor.

Everybody had somebody like her in school growing up. For me it was 2 people. The librarian and the music teacher. I have no idea how they thought that working with kids was a good idea.

omg my 6th grade music teacher was the witch of the entire school . Used to just scream at me , and a number of the other kids like a villain.. She told me to go to her office , I asked her where it was ? I didn't know I'd never been there , I'm 12 at the time , and you'd of thought I just told her she has an hr left to live for the way she just started ranting at me . .. smh forgot her name long since , but I still remember that day ..

I know I helped at least 25 students help to graduate from High School. Our school had a rule that if you owe the Library monies you could not graduate. I was a Librarian Aide so I had access to who owes what. These students had no way to pay their fines. Their Parents were really poor. So I did the only thing I could think of, and used white out on their records so they could graduate.
