I’m a brewer at Star Spangled Brewing and would love to get our Beer Ready to Drink (BRD) in front of Alabama Boss for an honest reaction. It’s a meal ready to eat themed American light lager. We also have a really nice Bourbon Ale for him to try if he’s willing. We’re a relatively small craft brewery that’s veteran owned by a former Special Forces Team Sergeant and us brewers are veterans as well.

I'd also like to thank the man for teaching me the word rurnt. Btw, have him try Parish Ghost in the machine! That might change his mind about IPAs as its a NEIPA. I know my dad liked it, much to my surprise.
I literally want to try every single one of these, and yes, even the one from Memphis....just once....Maybe twice....and I definitely won't shake that one can, because the foam will exit the can before it hits the top/bottom of the glass. You ought to get him some Boulevard Proper Pour batch #2 or Goose Island Bourbon County 2022 (he probably would like the coffee one the most). Im surprised y'all gave him a dirty bastard instead of KBS, given that its a stout. If I had to guess, you guys chose to do that to add some variety of some kind. I'd also suggest Wiseacre Astronaut Status and Deschutes the Abyss, awsome stuff. Also, happy to see he is back, been too long and he's just great. Would love to see him try more stuff from missouri, I'm pretty sure he'd enjoy alot of the stuff from KC Bier Co., and I'd love to see him try stuff from Boulevard Brewing Co., 2nd Shift Brewery, perrenial artisan ales, or 4 Hands Brewing Co.
Please do a shiner beer review. I suggest prickly pear, weisse n easy, strawberry blonde, orale! And many others but please. I’m from shiner and I would like to see what Alabama boss thinks of shiner beers and other spoetzl brewery products

Scotch ale is just a style. Generally doesn't have scotch in it, unless it's barrel aged. Not my favorite style, (even though I love scotch), as it was explained to me, in layman's terms, it would be like taking the mash used to make scotch, and making beer with it instead. More malt than hops, heavy on carmalized sugars. Drink them, but not my favorite. That black IPA is more my speed, and the Nutz one. Not all IPAs are the same. Get yourself a well done NEIPA, and it is more like your morning orange/tropical fruit juice, with little to no bitterness. I get the whole bitterness part, and lots of people don't like them, far more people do. If your go to is Busch Lite🤮.....then a high IBU west coast IPA likely is not going to tickle your palate in the way that you want. By the look of it, that donut beer maybe re-fermented in the can, maybe due to some contaminants, especially if tasted that bad. Should have been sweet, and get an after taste of donuts. Gimmick beer, but even so, that one looked to be a bad can.
I can't remember if you ever tried it...since it has been so long...But you should try Wells Banana Bread Beer. And maybe some Leffe Blonde. And Tommyknockers Peach Wheat ale. Just some whacky flavors.
Wells is so gross. I mean if you like the overly sweet, chemically prepared taste of bananas, then I guess sure. Otherwise, it is gross. Leffe is great though, never had Tommyknockers
@RatedRed Try some Finnish beer (Karhu, Koff, Karjala, Sandels, Olvi, Bock’s and the lonkero (gin long drink). Simple and drinkable, what a beer should be. None o that over-engineered science and poems and tin foil, bottle cap and cork mambojambo! 😜
