I saw Them for the 1st time in 1984 at the Minn.State Fair. I've been hooked ever since ,Saw them multiple times after that.After that concert I saw them loading up and walking to their Tour Bus,I had Boughton a T- shirt and ran up to Them and asked if They would sign My shirt.They found a marker and Randy Owen,Teddy Gentry signed my shirt.I still have it and remember like it was Yesterday....GREAT memories Guys,Thank You so much.

You can tell how good a song is by the way it makes you get out of your seat and shuffle to the beat. I grew up with Alabama in the 80's. So many great memories.

I love how Alabama found a country angle to the 80's synth driven sound. They had just enough of that 80's sheen to keep them on the radio, but they kept it country nonetheless. Their music is instantly recognizable, and in 2021 I have to say I think it has aged quite well.

Did the same with my husband. While we were dating he was putting together a game of Twilight 2000 (basically a DnD type game where its if the Cold War actually turned into a war and lasted until 2000) so he asked me for a playlist of 80s and 90s country songs to play for the American Troops we’d run into so needless to say half the playlist ended up being Alabama 😂

Keeping busy during this depressing COVID crisis, 2020. Trying to stay upbeat with everything going on how. Glad We enjoyed a concert here in Baton Rouge a year or two ago. Won't be going to concerts in the near future.

On this day in 1985 {September 22nd} the first 'Farm Aid' concert was held in Champaign, Illinois... Three of the fifty-nine performers at the concert were Alabama, Merle Haggard, and Loretta Lynn; and at the time on Billboard's Hot Country Singles chart, Alabama's "Can't Keep a Good Man Down" was at #17, Merle's "Kern River" was #18, and Ms. Lynn's "Heart Don't Do This To Me" was at #19... The concert attracted 80,000 fans and raised ten million dollar...

I was on location main street Fort Payne Alabama while portions of this video were shot..I grew up around these fellars. Took several.pics and introduced my once girlfriend to Randy and got autographs that day..Went to June Jam every year. What fun memories

A lot of what made them great was the harmonies. All their songs have nice harmonies going on the entire time, some of it gets kind of complex too, they don't get enough credit for that.
