Imho Bill O'Brian leaving and Tommy Reese being the OC instead has made a huge difference in the offense. And let's face it, if your offense keeps going 3 & out then the defense is on the field TOO MUCH & the longer the defense has to play then more of a chance for someone to make a mistake. All it takes is one or two mistakes to turn a win into a loss. And on one hand you can blame the defense or you can say the offense didn't score enough. But a team is a team at the end of a game. The offense has to have drives & control the ball & score points. While the defense has to get as many stops as possible. So the offense doesn't have so many points to win.😊
Yeah. I swear he had some incriminating photos or some of Saban and that damn aflac duck. I can't think of any other reason he held the job as long as he did.
I know all year Terrion Arnold was a great corner but, after watching this, he’s arguably one of the best Bama defenders of all time. Just a special dude on AND off the field.
@cameronlewis6870 He sure is. The dude is a beast with fire in the belly. What you say about Terrion Arnold is spot on truth. He is an all around great guy, and a fired up beast on the field. His name will be one that echoes in the annals of Bama’s football history. We’ve got the best corners in CFB, even if I do say that wearing my Crimson glasses. RTR
@@ive_beenthere_2638 Caleb Downs is another beast with fire in the belly. One of the best freshmen I’ve had the pleasure to see hit the field. Really impressive ball skills.
Kool-Aid is so lock down that hardly anyone threw to his side all year. (I think he’s only given up 180 1 TD the entire season) Meaning Arnold has had to up his game that much more and boy has he. I’ve seen mock drafts now have him as a 1st round talent as well as Kool-Aid. Having to defend the amount of passes thrown Arnold’s way and he has shut it down has been something special to watch. I believe he ranks in the top 5 in the NCAA for passes defended/pass break ups. He leads the team on INTs too. Super proud. Love this team/roster.
You're awesome bro thanks for all the work you put in for all the great bama vids this season, happy holidays to you and RTR I have a feeling it'll be texas vs bama for the natty
@a.j.wullschleger644 I appreciate your comment AJ! I will be going out of town soon so I been trying to post much as possible... I'm just thankful to be able to continue to post videos for this Alabama team! I hope we beat michigan and then play Texas to!
@izallgood37 no problem man. We all love this bama team they're very talented and got better each week now they have to prove every one yet again don't ever doubt the Tide. Also safe travels to you
@@bamafan18 ehh I’ve seen him make many big time plays throughout the year… And even if he doesn’t make the play, he’s doing his job and he’s in the right position most of the time… He’s been a great veteran presence on the field
Thanks so much, my man! This defense definitely hit the high mark! The corners are great, the pass rush is there, and they’ve got great hands on takeaways. You have a great holiday season. Get some good personal time and some rest. January is closer than we think! RTR 🐘🏈
@@izallgood37 They are and man, I was so hard on them in the beginning of season. We all were, and par for the Bama course, they showed us all up. They’re like “How do you like me now!”
Indeed, though I'd take that defense over this one. Not to say this year has been bad at all, it's actually been a HUGE sight for sore eyes 😍@@biga101290
The only thing that pissed me off during the Georgia game is that we should’ve had at least 4 INTs on Georgia. We definitely got to clean that up vs Michigan.
Easily the best starting 4 CBs (McKinstry, Arnold, Moore and Amos) in the country and the best pass rushing duo as well. (Turner/Braswell) Best our DEs/DTs have played in awhile as well. Nice to have an All-SEC DE again in Justin Egiobe.
I have to admit, when this season started I might have known the names of 3 of our defensive players. I honestly thought next year would be our year. Happy to report that I'm not very smart because I know them all now and this, my friends is how Alabama is supposed to play defense. Kevin Steele deserves a parade no matter what happens from here. This team is a 3 headed monster. Roll Tide.
Arnold, Amos & Malachi Moore are elite.. so is Downs, kool aid & Key but the first 3 are my favorite in our secondary this year.. they aren't underrated but some people don't realize how good they are lol
What's funny about the USF game that people love to bring up. USF was top 30 in passing and rushing on the year and averaged 30 PPG. Outside of their QB hurting with his legs, that was a thorough beating we put on their offense. They had less than 270 yards, if he doesn't break containment a few times, they would've had less than 200 yards of total offense, lol. This is why I knew if the offense got right, we would be in the position we are now. This is a damn good defense and it makes you wonder how many more titles we would've had if Steele was our DC instead of Pete. 👀 🤔
As a true Bama believer, I saw all I needed to see week 2 against Texas! Had The Mill Show been going on then, with the way that defense held Texas inside the 10 for 9 points! (3 field goals) That’s Defense playing
I remember the Texas A&M game very well. The refs were literally doing everything they could to keep A&M in the game, but the defense overcame them and the Offense
Another reason that confirmed to me this team would be okay is the block kick that was returned for a TD by Braswell. Dallas Turner was flagged for a "very weak" blindside block. It brought the TD back, while the play was still going on the younger Deontae Lawson grabbed the upper classman Turner by the shoulder pads and voiced his displeasure. - That moment confirmed all my thoughts. Not too many times will you see a underclassman verbally and physically hold a future top 15 pick accountable in front of the world for a bone head mistake. I LOVE THIS TEAM!!
Lmao poor ole miss that score does not show a third of how bama truly Dominated that game defensively, and all those close picks against Georgia wow, you could just see the speed and recognition get faster all year ,this bunch is something special wow
This is the best defense that Alabama has had in a few years.. the secondary & LB's are insane.. including the edge rushers.. Eboigbe and Oatis do enough on the line to get the job done
Our CBs have been fantastic this year, easily the best starting 4 in the country. (So happy M. Moore has been able to stay healthy) DEs/DTs are playing much better to the point it looks like Justin Egiobe is a totally different player. Outside LBers/Edge rusher are the best duo in the country. Campbell is coming along extremely nicely, Lawson is only gonna get better ‘n better, Marshall was a great addition and Blackshire would be starting at majority at schools. Biggest stock risers are Terrion Arnold and Braswell. Are we losing both Amos and Key after the season?
I hope we get blackshire & Q Robinson back on defense next year.. there guys you don't hear about alot but they contribute alot when they are out there
So am i alone in thinking this is arguably the most complete defense in the Saban era? Seems like every year there is one or two db's that get embarrassed almost weekly. (Hellams last year) This team doesn't have that player. And what position is the weakness? Don't care much about their ranking. This film shows a defense that has a perfect balance of size and athleticism at every position. Historically, an offense like LSUs would've played bama to the wire. Not this year. Daniels played a good game. But a combination of two elite corners, One of the most complete lbs in cfb in Lawson two edge rushers that have nearly 100 qb hurries combined. And an interior dl that is as good as any in the nation. Held one of the greatest offenses ever in the sec to fewer yards and points than any other team except texas in week one. Since the Texas L They are motivated, hungry and ready to prove everyone wrong. That's a scary combination. and i don't think Michigan will stop bama. Just watch their tape. Their front 7 is extremely undersized in comparison and their dbs are slow. Its gonna take a heroic performance from jj and corum to keep Michigan in the game. They don't match bama in any position other than RB. This team is young and its rare for a team this inexperienced at the start of the season to accomplish what they've done. If they beat Michigan. Saban and this bama squad will be the 1st in history to beat two #1 teams two weeks in a row. So many anylists are saying this team is not as good as years past. With milroe improving every week (and the whole offense). Along side this defense, it might be the opposite. If Bama wins it all, this will be the greatest season ive watched during the saban era. This team has a chance to accomplish a feat no other team in history has accomplished. All while being counted out by everyone the first half of the season. Can't wait for the playoffs, and to watch this team continue to prove everyone wrong. Sabans best year coaching by far in terms of mid season progress and development.
If our offense Didnt give up so many opportunities early in the season we would've been undefeated. Texas as good as they are should have had half the opportunities to score and Bama left 21 on the field through rookie mistakes and penalties. Honestly we should have won by 14. But luckily we get a chance to redeem ourselves. I think Texas would be unfortunate to meet Bama in the Natty.
@louieo.blevinsmusic4197 maybe. Idk Texas has looked almost invisible, but so has Bama. I know they lost to Oklahoma, that is a rival. Same thing with Bama.
There not better than FSU defense! Texas shredded this defense then Arkansas nearly came back and won and then sorry Auburn had success give me a break!
@@marquez6548 FSU played LSU fresh out the gate on netural field and smoked them had Louisville offensive handcuff whole game with no breaks got about 4 defense players who could start in NFL today FSU defense no joke
@ShaunWarren-ni5ro fsu defense is legit but it's not better than Bama's don't let those games fool you this will not be the same defense that you saw Arkansas, texas and auburn you can booked that.
This is the same defense that shut down lane kiffin’s(ole miss) offense and ended Georgia’s run 😂we have NUMEROUS future 1st and second rounders all over the field . Who else can say that besides Georgia
When Georgia actually had to play somebody with this weak ass schedule they got they struggle. When they actually had to play somebody that was worth playing they weren't about shit.
