Would have been another number one, along with the 43 number one hits that they have, if radio stations would have played it. It's a shame you don't get air time on radio just because of how old you are. Age should not matter if you got talent and they still got it. Alabama, your still loved by millions of people and always will be.
On April 21, 2015 the good Lord took my 18 year old son, Adam, home. When I heard this song I just cried like a baby. All I can think of was him, that I wasn't through loving you yet. That in this world just one chance is all we're ever going to get. I love you Adam and I miss you so much. I'll see you on the other side.
Where I cared for my grandson and nephew with so much happiness I couldn't say no. Ordinary family roles are acted on by needs of our family members. To think there's so many more of family across wherever you have been that we all have to be patient and look forward to being part of someone's family that needs us again. Just because it could make life easier being together.
Hello guys, I was blessed to have met you in 1973 and remained friends for all the years through the early 1980s when the world discovered how talented and wonderful you are. I will always treasure the time we had together. I told you that you would be successful back in '73 as you are not only talented but also are truly special people. I doubt that you still remember me, but you even came to my office in Hickory, NC, when you played at the Sheraton there. I'm so happy that you received the success that you sacrificed and worked so hard for. You are in my thoughts and prayers still, and I will always you. Your old green eyed friend and forever fan, Jan
Oops, I meant to say that I still love you. By the way...I did finally move to Atlanta and remained there until retiring to NE Georgia in 2002. I did return work at the U.S. Naval Academy from 2005-2011. I never married or had children, but the pleasure of being an aunt, great aunt, and great-great aunt. Thanks for all of the beautiful memories and music😻😻
It's not a bad song. It's gonna have to grow on ya I think. Doesn't compare to the old classics Alabama's performed so well. But they've been taking it easy for awhile too. Go get em boyz.!
My mom loved Alabama, so therefore as a 2 year old I was dancing around the room to "Roll On". Grew up on the boys great music! now a New generation of Alabama fans!
Georgia makes me: feel whole, feel completely satisfied by, just having seen +her smile, +her feminine posture, +her southern hospitality and +her grace. In Monty's words: I only missed you a million times today. [down from a billion times a day]
why in the world is it not being played? these boys have the kind of talent that is timeless. I got The Alabama itch a couple months ago and revisited the magic. I swear I've been crying such bittersweet the tears since. And the new music is touching me already. WOW. Just WOW.
I can not believe I am just finding these songs by ALABAMA. I did look for Alabama songs ... I could not find the new songs any where. Finding songs by ALABAMA is like pulling teeth. GREAT SONG !!!
The music of the country music group: ALABAMA, leaves not doubt that country music satisfies a diverse audience, reaching far beyond the country music charts in America. The well produced and engineered sound that ALABAMA pitchs in their recordings and live performances "gripp and satisfy" the mucial interests of people around the globe. Many of the songs which ALABMA has recorded do contain an "identifiable pitching trait," which is unique to ALABAMA; such "identifiable pitching traits" are admirably evident in ALABAMA's unique style of writting music and combining vocal harmonies.
I am pleased that Georgia is concerned with the well being of Jeff, Randy and Ted. Georgia seeks for my words to be explained in my opinion, not in her opinion or someone else's opinion. Her collective intelligence along with her attention to hospitality allows her to coordinate "thought with behavior" to simultaneously present her true heart felt concern.
I have played this song over probably 20 times. The emotion is just pouring out. I actually grabbed my wife in my arms in the restaurant parking lot and danced with her singing this song.💘 Hey Kimo.. call me brother.
Giving you another smile is all I ever think about doing. The image of the precious ways you embrace life does give to me pleasant memory that comfort me. The dearest thoughts of you will remain with me forever. You light up life when you smile ... I want to give you another smile.
I recently became made aware that "GH" waited for me. Oh, My, My! Oh "GH" oh! If I would have known you waited, I would have re-scheduled my entire life and I would have been back the first chance I had to show my adornment and admiration for you. I felt we were the greatest friends, I never dreamed that you "cared" enough for me, "to the heartfelt degree," in which you would wait for me. I am so impressed with you. I CHERISH you; you are a true "darling." I do truly HOPE you can experience and feel the sensation and happiness with which you "have" touched my life. I do not know what the future holds, but I sincerely "WISH YOU" to have everlasting LOVE.
I wouldn't want to go through emotional stress of letting go a second time; Work drew me away, so I keep it a private secret, and continue to live with the endearment, ... 'cause: I wasn't through, still not through, lovin' her YET. Maybe one day life will quit fallen apart, [Everytime I get a start, my world falls apart] (Let me get this right: It is spelt like the fish).
She and I know there is more than a "thread" of hope between us !, there's a "heart." ... Well, one Valentine's Day, a stuffed toy dog, with long hair, needed a collar, and all I could find was a "thread" to use as a thread collar. Being in an anxious rush, to present the "stuffed dog," as a gift, I bought a 24k gold heart which is made up of some 75 diamonds (1 carat tot, approxiatemately), and placed the heart on the thread collar and worked the heart into the long hair on the stuffed dog, where the heart could not be seen. After presenting her with the stuffed dog, she went and put the dog up. As she returned, I asked her if she found the dogs collar. She said NO. Then she went off to find the dogs collar. Well, she found the collar, and she returned ... need I explain more. What it gets down to is: She liked the "Threaded Collar," as she so expressed in words and a kind jesture. So, I later, in time, wrote: There is more than a thread of "hope" between us, "THERE"S A HEART."
It's a shame how these three guys treated Mark Herndon and even try to cut his image out of videos, pictures, etc now.. Like he was never part of the band ever... Ridiculous. If it werent for him they would have never had the power and the success they had and country drummers today would have never learned they could play like a rock drummer on a country stage... He paved the way for the music they call country today..
AMEN!!! I saw them in concert years ago when all four were still together and they're just not the same without Mark. I'll never forget his 10 minute drum solo to allow the rest of the band to have a break....
