“Aladdin” is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future. Directed by Guy Ritchie, who brings his singular flair for fast-paced, visceral action to the fictitious port city of Agrabah, the film is written by John August and Ritchie based on Disney’s “Aladdin.” “Aladdin” stars Will Smith as the larger-than-life Genie; Mena Massoud as the charming scoundrel Aladdin; Naomi Scott as Jasmine, the beautiful, self-determined princess; Marwan Kenzari as Jafar, the powerful sorcerer; Navid Negahban as the Sultan concerned with his daughter’s future; Nasim Pedrad as Dalia, Princess Jasmine’s free-spirited best friend and confidante; Billy Magnussen as the handsome and arrogant suitor Prince Anders; and Numan Acar as Hakim, Jafar’s right-hand man and captain of the palace guards. The film is produced by Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich with Marc Platt and Kevin De La Noy serving as executive producers. Alan Menken provides the score, which includes new recordings of the original songs written by Menken and lyricists Howard Ashman and Tim Rice and two new songs written by Menken and songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.The film, which was shot on practical stages in London and on location amidst the stunning desert vistas of Jordan, has a talented creative team helping to bring Agrabah to life, including: director of photography Alan Stewart, production designer Gemma Jackson and costume designer Michael Wilkinson.

just like how robin williams didn't play the genie, he played himself who was the genie. if you look at many different sources, it says that him as the genie was probably the most 'complete' we ever saw robin williams because it built off his comedy, acting, drama and even ability to sing (which is really good for someone who doesn't normally sing) so basically they had to get two people with a seriously huge amount of personality to play the genie as themselves to get it right

I know people supposed to hate live action remakes but i cant hate this one. I still like the original better obviously but this is one of the few live action remakes that i thoroughly enjoyed cause it seems like the cast and crew behind the camera wanting to make the best movie they can and theres so much energy in it. Other live action remakes that i like include cinderella and jungle book

that is the funny part about the genie, they don't want an artifical genie, they want the actor to be himself so that he can be the genie. both robin and will were themselves while also being genie in their own ways

Not gonna lie the hip hop drum beat and bass added to these songs on the soundtrack is some of the best renditions of the classics I've ever heard! I can't help but replay the song. Very smooth.

Mena did a great job, not only he looks like Aladdin from the animation he acted it out just fine and that smile during the prince Al scene was on Point. Perfect Aladdin. I enjoyed this movie quite a lot. Naomi doesn't really look like the Jasmine as much as Mena looks like Aladdin, but she Certainly made Jasmine her own, she made a Beautiful powerful character, which was good and I loved her as Jasmine. Will...was Will 😎👏

The best Will Smith! Even when I was younger, I loved Aladdin, but now he brought it back, and I started to believe again in the tales that wishes and goals would come true. Lately, I feel like someone's watching and looking out for me, like they're just waiting for a wish to come true, like I have a Ginnie. He's my favorite character, and I still feel the same way. Will Smith is the best Ginnie! I hope there's still live-action movies with him.

This was awesome, the best think about the casting of the Genie was that they found an actor that was playing himself when playing the genie, that's the key to the genie, both Will Smith and Robin Williams weren't playing a character, they were playing themselves.xxx

they honestly couldn’t have chosen a better cast (other than jafar) but overall this film was absolutely incredible, the best film i’ve seen in a while, the absolute best disney remake out there and i adore how they changed little things such as sunday salam to friday salam to make it more respectful to islam
