Lots of talk about "stable" and "planted" lol. It was on 3 wheels with the mower in doing a turn on pavement. Not to mention The left rear was like 6" off the ground going across a slightly slanted grass field.

C&C used Equipment videos. He buys a lot of the military CASE Backhoe ones. He rebuild goes completely through them. He has quit a few on his lot. Check out his sales videos. Great guy who walks the viewers through all aspects of Repair and what you as a used equipment buyer can do yourself on say track wear, on both excavator and Dozer. He buys a lot of surplus Military, especially Dozers. He finds that most were well taken care of. ( Fact of what he shows He loves the old Military CAT D-7 that I remember from my Military time in the mid 70s. We never had any Unimogs. But I love the multi purpose and that the CASE backhoe folds down so nice, and easy control Levers to do it with. Locks up tight to Unimogs. He showed on one video at a Richie Brothers big sales lot. Going from equipment to equipment, how to go through a screen on modern Dozer to show the viewers how to bring up FAULTS. So you see by just going on screen the wear and tear of Dozer, without knowing any history.

What would a comparable hp tractor set up cost? What about hyd flow compared to a tractor? With the wide area mowers installed, i would assume that ground bearing pressure would be less? So a turf application maybe

@@williamhall5401 this is about 10-15% more expensive than a like sized tractor setup with a boom mower. It is more versatile, normally you can't use a boom mower and wing mowers on the same machine like this can. If you account for its versatility you can pencil it out pretty quickly.

Question: When I was growing up in the 50's in PA, the highway crews used, if I remember correctly, a type of four wheel mower, rotary I believe, where the operator walked behind the mower controlling it. Dark forest green color. I've never seen any pictures or references about it since. Anyone?

It's a Deere cab. That's actually pretty common on niche equipment like this.

Seems counter intuitive to "release" the inching pedal to go faster but yet push it in to stop like it was a clutch. I've never owned anything with an inching pedal, is that how they all work? Why not just push down more to go faster like a hydro pedal?

The one time I drove an old school bulldozer, it had a similar pedal -- foot off the pedal to go, foot down to stop.
