I remember a time at bar I kept putting on George Jones. It kept getting turned off. After 3 or 4 tries it turned out it was a table younger punk looking kids. I tried again and stood by the juke box this time....being 6' 6" and over 300lbs they didn't try and and turn it off that time. I'm I big teddy bear but even I have my limits.

Many years later, the company dad works at got to fertilize Alan Jackson's lawn, and dad told the juicebox story to Alan Jackson's secretary. A week later, I got a signed picture in the mail from Alan Jackson himself, telling me to "keep rockin' that juicebox", lmao. 😄

I saw him in concert last Friday at the Family Arena in St. Charles, Missouri. It was awesome. I grew up listening to him because me and mom are avid listeners in country. I tell ya, the arena was packed full of so many people and it really showed you how great of a singer he is because when he came out on stage, everyone in the whole arena stood up and cheered so loud, I bet ya'll could've heard us from the next county.

I live in Virginia, and in Doswell every summer they have K95 Countryfest there and I always go. (K95 is the country music radio station here.) ... It's usually three country music artists performing. This year is Cole Swindell, who is one of the more recent ones worth listening to, in this cowboy's opinion. I like that Alan mentioned it. And the George Jones cameo was icing on the cake, I tell you what. Thery both performed a song together called "A Good Year For The Roses" that's on here also. I agree with others here that Alan Jackson and many country legends are better than the newer country musicians. Their songs were more heartfelt and meaningful...they just had more to say. And they had some fun songs, as well. Loretta Lynn, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Merle Haggard, Hank Williams and Hank Williams Jr., George Jones, George Strait, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Dolly Parton, Brooks & Dunn, Alabama and many others...they are country music. That being said, I think there are more recent ones that are also talented and authentic, such as Lainey Wilson, Miranda Lambert, Lauren Alaina, Cody Johnson, Chris Stapleton, Jake Owen, Chris Young, Chris Janson.

Not only was he capable of playing the steel guitar, but he also capable of playing any instrument with strings,such as a Guitar,banjo,and several other stringed instruments.
