I remember how I found this song. I was sat in the back of my grandads car, listening to BBC radio Lancashires country set on a Sunday from 2pm, I was so taken a back emotionally by what I was hearing that I started uncontrollably welling up and before I knew it, I was crying. I tried to hide it, but I couldn't. My grandad thought I was upset over something but I was just so touched by the song I couldn't help it. I love it more and more each time I listen to it.

Alan Jackson is just awesome. This song touches my soul. As I grow older and treasured friends pass on, I realize how blessed I am to have a loving wife, three wonderful sons, and eight beautiful grandchildren. So, the older I get just means the more I get to love and enjoy them. ❤

Somewhere back on the road, this song got lost. Without a doubt, a top hit of Alan Jackson's. At 71; I think about my own mortality, the miracles I've experienced and the blessings I've recieved. The people along my journey and how they are slowly passing on. This song is my song. Me being thankful I guess.
