WATCH: Sky News host Alan Jones has broken down in tears live on-air while delivering an emotional tribute to farmers struggling to make ends meet as drought continues to ravage the country.
I'm from the UK, I had no idea that this was going on. That was a very powerful and emotional message from Alan Jones. What the hell is going on with the Australian government?, they've got to help the farmers, it's inhumane not to.
@@ariesred777 guess what. He just made the biggest deal for us farmers with japan, korea and china. Before it was 16 billion now its more than 40 billion
Jerry Gomez if only. But as Trump drains the swamp he will directly and indirectly help us. But in the mean time we as Australians need to do something drastic to take back control of this as this is absolute treason
@@buntelbro Like the deal with Israel. What has he done about infrastructure so badly needed at home?Nothing but reduce taxes for the wealthy and pollys. He will go after this 4yr stint. He's a joke
All of you know nothing and being the subjects of mainstream media. And just hating. Nobody is perfect. At least he is a fighter. And he will win again 2020.
God bless you mate. Australia will endure! So long as we keep Christ as the foundation of our values, we will be preserved from the wrath of tyranny that is engulfing the world
I listened to Mark's call on the way to work last week and I was absolutely gutted. I could not stop thinking about it all day. We need to help these poor bloody farmers right frigging now!
@@olevegn .. whats with the bible stuff, its called Geoengineering.... been deployed for years... 24 x 2 x 4 = 192 x 7 = 1344 x 3.141 = 4.221 this is the dia of Mars in miles.. the first paragraph in the old test'' has 39 words which is the volume of Mars @39'' BILLION/MILES/cube.. 9 gods of the Ennead which the 9 planets are named after, yes Earth is the name of one of those gods. I am watching from America and my heart is breaking for Mark, Scott Morrison is a joke!! Keep fighting!!! We see Australians as tough hard working people!!!
@@andgate2000 You terrible human, this man lays his heart on the line every day for those who need help and you: yes YOU come out with a statement like that..
Politicians won't do anything until the food runs out and they are hungry. Then they will say "we have a clever plan to import food!" - but we won't be able to afford it. The only solution is to make politician's lives so inconvenient and uncomfortable now that it is easier for them to do something now and end their inconvenience and discomfort (start helping farmers), than to do nothing (and watch us all starve). Start thumping on the doors of your local member people (their home address - wake them up late at night) - if you can't thump on their door, ring them up daily, write letters to them in Canberra - anything that makes their lives inconvenient. It is crazy that we water the grass parks and fields in cities, but let the cattle in the country stave (move the cattle to the cities until rain comes - keep them alive). Our leaders have no vision past getting elected.
We Australians NEED URGENT HELP. How can we continue if we don't get help? We cannot be prideful in our hour of need. We are nearing our wits end and it high time we get on with what needs to be done. Enough talking, It's time for immediate action. If we don't do something right now? It'll be too late.
It is strange that all the named groups Libs, Marxist, Labour, Communists, are the same in all the world in every country it seems to be some sort of plot! Are these the real Neoliberals?
What a stupid comment to make if you knew the history of the old country party you would know they were originally a agrarian socialist party that were protectionists of farmers, rural industry and built public assets not to be flogged of to overseas corporations
They can spend on dud out of date submarines. The amount of water going into the ocean could be harvested for a quarter. Don't forget these arseholes combined pensions on top of the public service
Pull the foreign aid to the likes of Indonesia for a couple years and pay the farmers' bank debt instead.Oh and whilst you're on it....freeze your bloody polly wages until the country is back on its feet
Stopping the small amounts of Australian international aid is a tactic that helps CCP , and gives CCP allies via belt and road. There are plenty of other places money could come from without helping the Chinese government as your suggestion does. There are funds that the govt can draw from for such matters of national interest. Also in a citizen level , we could start a campaign for renters in CCP "owned" properties on mass to divert their rent to a fund for farmers .
Finding money to help hardworking local Australian farmers in distress is apparently too hard for the corrupt politicians who are happy to let CCP front companies buy out Australian food production land with money laudered through HK from the 51 trillion the CCP printed (from thin air) to wage economic war and gain control of land . They can't suspend farmer's debt but they can make us all serfs to CCP by giving access to CCP to our housing and land to purchase with unearned (and never to be repaid ) tactical dollars from a totalitarian empire who ordiinary Australians can't compete with for obvious reasons. I think we should start a campaign for everyone renting CCP owned properties to pay into a fund for Australian farmers instead .
"better to walk alone, than walk with the mob in the wrong direction" those are real solid words from your mother, could not have said it better myself.
Mr jones , a suggestion, move the cattle to the coast , where there is water in dams and rivers and grass on the ground ! Constructive criticism of the government is all well and good , but common sense says , empty dams and bare ground and all the money in the world won't save the cattle and the farmers with out rain!
It doesn't matter if they are Liberal or Labour. There tarred with the same brush. Personal chauffeur Town cars living in their mac mansions dining on imported Waygu beef. They only see what's in it for the own personal gain not the Mr Joe average.
Patricia Richardson The problems are everyone’s though. No matter how affluent they are everyone is affected by the dire situation. Are they waiting for the country to be plunged into poverty?
Global agribusiness and industrial scale farming is causing these issues, not just drought. I am an American farmer in the driest state east of the Mississippi during the growing season. My neighbor's farms would look just like these in Australian if not for center pivot irrigation systems and deep wells into the aquifer. My farm exceeds organic standards and has organic matter content over 10%. We raise grass fed beef on healthy rotated pastures. Our farm is drought tolerant because the soil stores much more moisture. I need no irrigation. I would be happy to provide technical assistance to any farmer there in need of it at no cost. I retired from the US Department of Agriculture and the agency formerly known as the Soil Conservation Service. The situation is not hopeless although large scale industrial agriculture is not sustainable on most of the planet where the average farm size is under 2 hectares. Think local and regional and forget the export mentality. You'll make more selling local and save more soil and water also.
We have Planned Poorly for Drought, We can do better with Water. The PM and McCormack will have to do more for these Hardship Cases. McCormack should be heading there tonight. Well done Jonesy, Tough Issue.
Our Farmers are the backbone of Australia, they always have been, they are the salt of the Earth. We have ridden on the sheeps back of primary producers for hundreds of years. It breaks my heart that so many levels of government have lost their moral compass, have lost sight of the truth and abandoned our Farmers in their greatest time on need, for financial support, to protect their breeding stock, for access to water and to produce crops etc. So much politics, so much legislation from all levels of government and bureaucracies, all in the pursuit of power, money and ideologically subverted politics. Its time to step up Scott Morrison, to take action, to do the right thing by our Farmers, to take genuine steps to grow our economy and protect Australia from undemocratic influences. To not support our Farmers in their greatest hour of need is a betrayal of all Australians... God Bless you Alan Jones for having the guts and moral fortitude to stand up for our Farmers and for what is right and just...
My god this is heartbreaking I didn't see this on the news I see it on the internet. Why is this not on the news this is devastating these farmers need immediate help.
Better to walk alone, than to walk in the wrong direction. Thank you Alan Jones. That is part of me now. Come on Scott Morrison, why are you letting down all the people who believed in you and put you where you are now? It just doesn’t make any sense?
All parties and all politicians should be audited. Lot of politicians who retire, live lives far beyond even their generous perks and entitlements. If a retired politician takes up a position with a large foreign company, their voting record should be examined to see if they voted in laws etc that benefited that company. This should be extended to family members as well. Joyce is working for his Chinese masters. Every farmer forced off of their land is another farm for his masters to buy up. Churchill said he talks softly but carries a big stick. Joyce talks big and carries a soft stick. He has a record of making a show of defending the Aussie battler, then selling out come voting time. He has been doing this since the sale of Telstra.
wufongtan wufong Yes we should call on Robert David Steele former CIA he is a commissioner now for another crowd called INTJ - International Tribunal of Natural Justice. He has been dealing with the global pedophile ring.
The saddest part of this is that farmers have been farming very marginal land for too long. Big bucks when things are good but that is not often, it has always been that way, sad.
I think its probably time for the Nationals to split from the Liberals and stand up for the people they claim to represent. Maybe they truly need to become nationalist ,so at least one major party cares about Australians first.
A Clue, for ya all. its called Geoengineering, cry all you want until the Pink elephant in the sky is addressed... Why don't you Allen Jones have Dane Wigington on like Studio 10 did.... the penny might actually drop...
How can Canberra do nothing for our farmers ??????? I wonder if they would be ignored if they were Chinese? or is that the plan to drive them off the land? The whole of Australia is feeling for this bloke and every other farmer, including the dairy farmers: More and more people getting sick to death of plastic, politicians in pretty suits who play games with peoples lives. Yes the liberal party has done more for Australia than the labor party ever has, but this thing with our farmers has gone on too long: Politicians should all, do 2 years working on a farms before running for politics:
I’m not buying it. Shit happens. Drought happens. And when that happens, you walk away. My grandparents left the dust bowl in the 1930’s, and left farming for good after that.
Judging by current trends I would opine that the goal is for a bank to get control of ownership and then broker a loan to the Chinese and then sell the land to the Chinese then print more fiat currency using the loan as collateral and pocket mass profits each step of the way. Anyone else?
Sad times we are in. We need to figure something out. Surely it’s not too much of a task for a lot of us to get together to hire a huge water truck and pay to send it out to these places, even if it’s a temporary measure, it’s still something. Same with the feed. There are a lot of people who are able To help.... we just need to organise and mobilise a solution.
Truly heartbreaking. My heart goes out to our farmers. It is the UN Agenda 21 and 30. Scott Morrison needs to step up and help our farmers. The government neglect of our suffering farmers is a crime. He calls himself Christian and yet he is working for the Lucifarian Globalist UN. Also why are we chemtraling our sky's. I don't think that there has ever been another time in Australia's history where our farmers, who put food on our table, have been hung out to dry like this. Pray Scott Morrison, Pray very hard because at the moment you are working for the wrong side!
Thank god for whites: What if the farmer is a black guy and the small business owner is a white family that goes to church every week.... would you still be just for protecting the farmers... or would your racist streak come out :P
@Thank god for whites I currently live in Canberra but I come from central New South Wales and I spent my entire life on my family's farm and I worked as a farm labourer for 5 years after I left school because my father couldn't afford to keep me on full time. I have to keep explaining to people constantly why this issue is so important.
Alan organise us to march! Organise an uprising to march to stop the genocide of our farmers. We need to stand up and be heard for once and all about the treatment of our brothers and sisters on the land! Please organise and we will respond to a leader of the people for our country.
It just sad in 2002 in Victoria drought was bad, horror stories about cows going to abs to be slaughtered because no feed. There was one farmer who took his cows to abs but was rejected because no room for cows so he went home shot ALL 300 n himself. Tanker driver picking up milk found couple hanging in dairy. No one cares n happening again.
Prosperity is simple to achieve . Drought proof Australia and the farmers will do the rest. Cities receive the water needed to prosper why not rural Australia?
And the government gives $300,000 to 1 Indian ,So he could get new kidney ..immigrant get more help then Farmers ..Very said ..Thank you Mr Jones for trying..
“””””If my people. Will humble themselves and pray, I will hear from heaven and heal their land “”.Bible verse But instead when we pray, we get mocked...God is our only hope, not the Government. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Thank you. I come from a farming background ,had to leave because of health reasons. But know the struggles we farmers had, seems even worse now...much worse.
That is the problem, more money is going overseas than to our own farmers who produce what we eat and drink . You can not live if you do not eat or drink .
Yes ,The government is making the land cheaper for overseas buyers. in 2003 to 2006 they built the Paradise Dam in QLD but not the 30 km of pipeline needed to use it for irrigation . why ?
In northern NSW, my 9 yo niece was given detention as she opposed the teacher about the vaccine mandate. The detention was for “… being a bad influence”.
This crap started with the Greenies back in 1979 when they were protesting about farmers building more dams on their properties. The Franklin in Tassie was their Precedent when the Labor Party, Bob Hawke (pledged to stop the Franklin, in March 1983) and the Greenies succeeded and it was added to the UN World Heritage site. There was no stopping them, if a farmer wanted to build a damn on their land these idiots would rock up and protest. They never did anything constructive or helpful to the Community as our Farmers did, by keeping Australia fed. We could see back then what was happening BUT They continued on, along with successive Governments, in destroying our farmers and putting their backs against the wall. Now Their fooken chickens have come home to roost and we’re losing our farmers in droves, and they’re going through all this needless suffering, which has been foisted on them since the 70’s. God, please bless our farmers and keep them all safe and healthy. 🙏🏻
A little more complex than you describe. Many industries, both primary and secondary to consider along with our recent drought issues. It's not just about farmers worldwide perhaps climate extremes in places never before experiencing shake up.Also world population exploding and consumption in the west is rampant.Pollution, nuclear waste, plastic in oceans all increasing exponentially through human activity.Species extinction by land clearing, dm building destroying eco systems for industrial development. This civilisation is over.Ramped up since 1700's
@Jimmy Cook So much research regarding how much to pay someone. The research suggested not to over pay as it makes people complacent! How about Treasonous!
there is a way - people have to be bold - politicians need to build it. A water line from the lakes of the NT and northern WA. Pipe this water to reservoirs and dams when EVER we need it. It was discussed in the 60's and it would be the greatest works since the Snowy Mountains Scheme - work Australia ….. for the people OUR People of the land. We would only pump this water in severe drought. Think about it - our generations ahead will be proud of us.
STOP GEOENGINEERING ~ [climate engineering]. It dries up the land, promotes fires, makes people sick. Study Agenda 21 / now Agenda 2030 and raise cain. ▶Video of a Plane Filming a Jet Spraying Chemicals ~ (1 min) chemtrailsthebigpicture.com/2017/06/23/video-spraying-jet-goes-viral/
I am from India and this is disgusting..... Shame on the political fraternity...... To the ppl of rural Australia... Here in South India, there has been a massive campaign and support to bring back ownership of our farmers' lands to the farmers.. Empower them to grow crops and not have to depend on loans or subsidies etc. The campaign is called 'Cauvery Calling' and is headed by the Isha Foundation founder Sadguru. Please read about it and see if their branches in Australia can help in adopting similar measures to turn drought ridden lands to cultivation out there. I don't know how else to help but hoping someone reads this and takes it forward.. Hearing that desperate cry on the phone...was too much, unacceptable.
How can the peopld who govern our country care not a lik about our food production collapsing? Instead, tney waste time and money on disproven issues like carbon emissions and trans gender rights for kids. None of that will matter when we can no longer sustain our food supply.
When there’s no farmers then we see the big diferance in quality of food ,the only thing left will be drugs and misery ,farmers needs dams and help just look at nations that don’t have farmers everything is expensive and bad quality
You should of voted for Fraser Anning, his party was prompting diverting water down from north Qld & NT with a series of dams, weires & diversion walls in the wet & flood season's to irrigate the interior, to protect from drought. Back in his day Joe Beauxyapeterson had a tunnel half tunneled through the great divide behind Innisfail north Qld, to divert a fraction of water in flood season's out of the Johnson river. Why hasent that great vision been completed ? O that's right, it common sence isent it ! If Scummo goverment dosent act now for the farmers, he & his commo goverment have to go. " Fraser Anning for PM, he will work with Australins for Australia" 👍 Look at his maiden speech in parliament.
I too was hopeful Scott Morrison would be open and focus on turning the country around despite the liberal Party chaos and back stabbings but alas he has proven to be out of touch as well...God help Australia
We are happy to spend millions in foreign aid, asylum seekers, and refugees, but when it comes to helping our own, then there is not enough money. How does that make sense?
