3 years and 3 months - that’s all it took them from being an unknown unsigned band, on a chance meeting with the head of an independent record label = to becoming the biggest band in the world and helping define the 1990’s = miracles do happen x love oasis 🖤

The lads did indeed do well, but they were never the biggest band in the world by any stretch.

@@Tomlinsky what countries were they not big in?? Countries in Asia and Africa?? A lot of them countries as far as I’m aware don’t listen to western a lot of western music but I think they were still big in India and definitely is south east Asia and they were massive in Japan! X

@@robsol123 In the world? Hard to quantify that claim really. Depends on your yardstick and which country(ies) you want to compare with. If album sales is any measure Metallica sold more copies of 'Loaded' in the US than Oasis did of 'Morning Glory' in 1996 for a kick off. Alanis Morissette shifted more than either of them but that probably says more about the US than anything else.
