Transformers and He-Man voice actor Alan Oppenheimer, talks about using his Skeletor voice in every day life.
Alan Oppenheimer has portrayed many characters over his career, both on and off screen including Dr. Rudy Wells on The Six Million Dollar Man; Koroth in Star Trek: The Next Generation; Seaspray and Beachcomber (among others) on Transformers Generation One; Mer-Man, Man-at-Arms, and of course Skeletor on He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.

Alan Oppenheimer will always be a respected figure. He was the voice of Alistair Crane on "Passions". His Skeletor voice is definitely iconic! Also, Maurice LaMarche is a combination of Barry Gordon and him.

It's unlikely that those drivers actually heard his voice in the cartoons, especially if they needed a translator. In those countries, cartoons are typically dubbed into Spanish. Still, nice story.

Skeletor is my favorite cartoon villain hands down. I have a huge poster of him on my wall with his havoc staff. I got it for my 10th birthday and it's in perfect condition because it was framed as soon as it was printed.

Is not my intention to discredit Mr. Oppenheimer, but as is usual with the majority of foreign productions in latin america He-Man was dubbed in Spanish, so people remember the Spanish voice (which was a bit more grave). That said the mexican actor who dubbed Skeletor nailed the iconic laughter, so it's no surprise that the cab driver knew what was going on.
