At NAMM 2012, Alan Parsons explains his quadraphonic mix of "Money" from Dark Side of the Moon, and provides detailed info on how the loop was achieved. Only on the Live2Play Network, www.l2pnet.com
Just buy a Sony decoder box with an integrated amplifier. Their designation is SQA. You can turn any stereo receiver into a quad player with one of them. They are common on Ebay. If you have two amps you can use an SQD-2020 between them.
No need for any of that now. You can have it straight from the quad master on disc. The vinyl SQ is more of an early-70’s parlor trick than a faithful representation of the discrete master.
amazing....I used the same method of cutting tape to length, to create an exact timing tape to set correct tape speed, on vintage tape decks I recondition with new drive motors. the method works with precision
I've had the quad version of this ever since it was released in 73 or 74. The stereo lp was never as satisfying to listen to, as the quad version. In my opinion, there is no other quad song/mix better than Money. Once you hear Parson's quad mix of this album, you can't go back to the stereo release.
