A legendary sound engineer, but a criminally underrated musician and song writer! His collab with the late Eric Norman Woolfson made for some of the greatest music ever produced. Eric's passing hadn't dampened the songcraft of this once-in-a-lifetime music genius at all!
@@64214Joseyou must have been ignorant on how the sales and reviews of their albums have fared compared to all their contemporaries and mainstream-celebrated trash and lists that's circulating out there. And "underated" is double "r." No need to thank me. ;)
I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL. ALAN PARSON PROJECT HAS BEEN ONE OF MY FAVORITE BANDS SINCE MY COLLEGE YEARS DURING THE 70's. MY LIFE WAS GREATLY ENRICHED BY ALL THE WONDERFUL MUSIC OF THOSE OLDEN DAYS OF PURE BLISS. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!
This song is deep, just stumbled upon this tonight. These lyrics define a situation I recently went through and am piecing together. This song just gave me clarity and to stay with what I believe in. Ironic and transparent. Love this so much
Today I read the magical power that artists have to creatively express difficult and painful situations ... that no one would want to hear. They put poetry in pain and with it we find the key to overcome it
@@shineon3352 Each time I hear AP I have a different favorite. The first song here brings tears for sure. Check out Steely Dan "The Bear" Enjoy your day! "Sitting on fences can make you a pain in the ass"
4am morning I got this I am an avid old music and Hollywood movies lover make him an offer he can't refuse is the line which caught me 45 years ago I hope it relates to Alan Parsons in a way ask Alan Parsons to give music he can't give which is not attractive at all and I am a regular listener of fraudiana distinctly outstanding
@@XXX_xxxxxxxx Freudiana is a nice finale to the Parsons-Woolfson collaboration, more satisfying than Gaudi IMO. It really should have been released as a Project album, since it basically is.
My fascination with APP started with “In the Sky”. My attraction was in the second disc that was included within the CD set. It had a visual ride into Alan’s studio in 3D viewing with panning capability, and the other video of the cockpit of an aircraft. This was my first realization of the passion and power of what this man was capable of creating to stimulate the senses. He and his team have taken just making music, and drawn in so many more aspects, that they have drawn me into the kingdom of all of his gifts to the world in the way of music and storytelling. I have since hunted and collected any and all of his creations of music and videos whenever I can find it. His music is with me at all times and in echoes of thoughts when I am at calm. His has a gift that has sometimes been behind the curtain of others, but has made it way to be seen as a driving strength that has finally been recognized as the pillar that others great music was built on. His latest music, “As Lights Fall” made one of the saddest songs for me because of the realization that someday the world will lose this great artist. The world will be a very empty place after that. With that, I wish Mr Parsons a long and fruitful life and want to “THANK” him for everything he has shared with humanity.
@@dgthall 'Eye In The Sky' Not 'On Air' Eye In The Sky was created by The Alan Parsons Project. On Air was created BY Alan Parsons Himself Without The Project.
@@dennismcgrath3088 Sure, but the commenter said it was a CD with a second disc with video of flight. Do you know if there was any such release for Eye in the Sky? I know the On Air CD came with an extra disc with a bunch of video including a lot of aviation footage.. And the commenter clearly isn't hung up on the difference between APP and Alan's "solo" work, since they mention his most recent work. That said, if there was something similar released for Eye in the Sky, then it may well have been that instead.
Qué maravilla, qué placer !!!! Escuchar a Alan Parsons ésas voces, instrumentos, melodías me transportan a un lugar de ensueño donde me siento FELIZ !!!! Gracias Miles. 😅❤❤❤
One thing is Alan Parsons and another very different is The Alan Parsons Proyect. Hard to believe you don't tell the difference. But ignorance is bliss as Alan says himself...
While scanning RU-vid the other night I came across this album. Amazing absolutely amazing. I have been a fan of Alan Parson's since the 70's. I know they have had many hit's and my favorite album is still "Turn of a Friendly Card" but who ever picked the songs for this album did an excellent job. Definately some of the groups best songs.
This man and this group are definitely one of a kind, and like the artist they are, they give us the means and time for all of us to catch up to them. Art is, I believe, a realization which is presented to the rest of us, so we can learn to catch up to the reality around us. Without this, we sink into small insignificant creatures without rhyme or reason. Thank you Alan and thank you Project!
I was shocked to figure that I thought that I know APP. I have the classics: "I Robot" (for me, the best ever), "Pyramid", "Turn of a friendly card", "Tales and mystery of Edgard Alan Poe". Therefore, I was surprised that there were so much good musics unpublished. It is very good that such work had be recovered and presented here. Congratulations. I guess they could release these before...
Fantastic collection of brilliant creations by a massively underrated artist. Many thanks for sharing this. You may have saved my life today. Seriously.
