Alan Rickman was one of the most beloved actors in British, and American cinema. Known mostly for his “generous” behavior. While playing Severus Snape in Harry Potter, the man could be just downright terrifying at the best of times. But, that didn’t stop the actor from having a little fun. He pranked Daniel Radcliffe with a fart machine in front of hundreds of kids! And speaking of kids, he absolutely adored them. Constantly inviting them to the set to check out filming, and even being a mentor figure to the actors on stage. He did get a bit sassy with Rupert Grint and Matthew Lewis one day though, when they spilled a milkshake in his car. And Rupert Grint drew a caricature of Snape during the filming of one of the classroom scenes, and Rickman had him sign it! And in the wardrobe department, Rickman had a bit of sway. He loved wearing the same outfit movie after movie. While other actor’s costumes changed, Rickman’s stayed the same - despite having the waist loosened a bit when he came back from Holiday. Not that anybody told him. He also got quite the compliment on the richness of his eyes. In response, he popped out his contact! And that loving demeanor of Rickman’s might just be what allowed him to get away with some stealing from the sets. And he stole A LOT and then proceeded to sell the stuff online! But don’t worry, he was always generous with his money and bought subsequent casts their lunch, always stating the reason for the generosity being “Harry Potter.”
