They are extremist for a reason. Look at the wealth, racial and gender inequility in the US of today. Look how poorly they handled the virus. Lack of opposition to the big tech and billionaires allowed this situation to happen. We need "extremists" for balance. Otherwise we'll work 14h work days in a cyberpunk dystopia whilst Bezos drinks champagne in the Caribbean
@Steven 1773 all planned by the people who paint themselves as the good of society. They simply need to trick the masses into to viewing their actions and views as the moral high ground. These people are the reason why the world is in the state it is in right now.
I dont understand him. I mean, i get the "dont be overeager to help" but the rest sounds a bit nonsensical. To me, it sounds like he is talking in absolutes, saying "any help you provide will hurt the recepiant", but that feels like you are just throwing your arms in the air and saying you would do more harm than good. Also, i dont understand the metaphor of one ant being virtuous but the whole nest being harmful. Also, the inquisition was first used to get rid of arabs in spain and other people who annoyed the top brass of the church afaik. The excuse was good enough to spread. All the good meaning people were there because they were deliberately manipulated and told lies. They simply didnt think for themselves, which was exploited.
If someone is starving and you give him a fish, you act with good intentions. But the person will still be starving the next day. If you teach this person how to fish, he won't starve anymore. But if you teach too many, there will not be enough fish for everybody. Despite good intentions, the consequences created by causality, are often dire. One grasshopper can eat a blade of grass, a locust swarm will devour the field.
