Today is a great day, just now we changed to June, from May. Exactly 47 years ago, a girl was born, You Oughta Know who. In Ottawa, she saw the light, after her twin brother first checked that it was all right. With her parents she often had to move, that's how she also got to know the Black Forest groove. Learning the piano and loves to sing, tries it all young, also with acting. As teen some bad times, did they made her a little bit ill? But she broke free with a Jagged Little Pill! First in Canada becoming successful and most promising, and with THIS slam, she's worldwide onrushing. A pretty woman with a wonderful voice, talented in songwriting and no other choice. Lots of anger and not everywhere an open door, doesn't prevent her from becoming what she strives for. She moved to L.A., becoming a star, loved by the fans and the media. But how sensitive she is, you could see it in her eyes, the hungry people don't realize! More albums follow, maybe not all of them successful, but in all of her songs you can hear talent and soul. Her unique and great voice, good for ballads and for rock, she's also a great actress, even perfect to personifying God. Thanks to India we get S.F.I.J., so rich, also bitter and so much more than 'ok'. The next album shouldn't be Swept Under the Rug, most critics don't like it, but i can't hear any bug. She learns to face the So-called Chaos in a more positive way, love also helped to make a brighter day. But sadly in 2007 she learns without a savior, not all Entanglements remain (or end) with a good smelling Flavor. Starting a family then in 2010, this resulted in three wonderful children. Ever, Onyx and Winter - celebs like to give them fancy names. And breastfeeding doesn't need any shame! A happy mother, feeling like she knows where she belongs. Children make Havocs sometimes but they bring Bright Light, so much more then once. Ten changeable years, some good, some really sad. Laughing and suffer, sometimes she even gets mad. All seems to be going well finally then, and after 8 long years, you can see happy fans. But all is not well, a marriage headed into the rocks - and one wonders: why are they In The Road, these Pretty Forks? This poem is for a great woman, she really can write, sing and act. A good mother whit a big heart, that's also a fact. Many orphans can laugh and have a future for the better. Thinking of the children so much that she almost forgets her(self). She's poetic, sensitive, shy, trusting and funny. Often wishes a simple life, without hype and 'expectations-honey'. Addresses difficult topics and will not mince words, she can reveal herself in songs so that it almost hurts. I am sure she will recover from all Predators and suffering, and will continue to make songs that get under your skin. No matter if the sun is shining or if it is pouring, with you Alanis life is never boring. Happy happy birthday, Alanis! ❤️
