Alanis Morissette performs her worldly dark rock anthem "Uninvited" after a haunting acapella ending of "Your House" at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ on July 21st, 2022, as part of her Jagged Little Pill 25th Anniversary Tour.
Your not allowed? Your uninvited! You you stick around.likk we're excited? You you have no worth yo ar not enlightened? You . Your not alone...your not invited!
I'm sure I have viewed different versions equalling & surpassed 1000 easily. This song strums my vagus nerve to the core. Fight or flight. Heavy song man!
I agree!! This song moves me SO MUCH that when I watch a live version, I bust out into tears sometimes. It’s not sadness, or joy…it’s just like, pure emotion!
Yeah - she is The BEST🙌🏻 This song is very difficult -I’ve been practicing singing ”Uninvited” since like forever but still not ready to let anyone hear me singing it🙈
I feel like the eighties and nineties rock/grunge/alternative artists, who obviously didn’t have choreography or sleek stage presentations, would run around like Alanis. The “harder” rock bands would have mosh pits, throw stuff, etc. Crazy antics. Alanis is more expressive and thoughtful but her music still goes hard… she used to legit WALK and pace across the stage so HARD when she was younger. And angrier, maybe? Like she was on a mission. Now she’s whipping her hair and just feeling the music i think… As far as her hand movements, my music teacher in high school once talked to us about stuff like that, specifically Mariah Carey’s hand movements, or the fact that many violin players (myself included) twitch and make little faces… he basically said “whatever it takes” to get your expression out, musically, do it! Whether it’s a weird face, a twitch, hand gestures, as long as it’s not a detriment physically for you or your performance.
This! This is music! Unfortunately, todays generations will never understand. Real, raw talent. That's not to say music isn't enjoyable in todays day, but this is the best of the best. No auto tune ... doing whatever the hell she wants up there. She commands the stage, she truly FEELS the music! Well done, queen!
A real musician hand's down real lyrics beyond awesome singing real song 🤘 no auto tune singing! No crappy mainstream puppet Head music! Been a fan since 95 love this song 🤘🤘🤘
First time i ever heard Alanis my pap died. My cousin blasted her music in his car..i was 10/11 at the time. It was so moving and my soul needed that at the time. 💛🤘
Alanis Morissette will always have a special place in my heart. Jagged Little Pill got me through my teen years and unstable household. I felt I could escape for a little bit listening to her and the anger and pain let go...❤
Ridiculously amazing mic technique. Alanis and John Farnham are the king and queen of exceptional microphone technique. Take note singers. This is how it is done
A true master. Years of dedication showing her true form. Wow. Wow. Wow. If I was a teacher, I would teach this, this woman's performace, to my students.
It wasn't released as a single so it couldn't chart on Billboard. It reached the top ten in other countries though and thankfully was nominated and won the Grammy.
Love that raw Canadian wild and free-spirited, recklessly abandoned, unhindered, yielded and surrendered soul...something my fellow Americans could learn to have from our brothers and sisters from the North. Love how Alanis captures the raw, wild and free spirit and landscape of her beautiful and beloved Canada. Canada can have that kind of soul because it respects and protects God's beautiful creation and doesn't suffocate from overcrowdedness. Unfortunately and tragically, the US is going through a season of epidemics, diseases and plagues of the spirit, heart, mind, soul and attitude. My brothers and sisters in Canada... please pray for us in the US. We need to return back to God, a metanoia. 🇺🇲♥️🇨🇦🔥🤘
Man, I wonder how loud she actually sings without amplification. Because those mics you usually have to almost eat to get a decent signal for most people. And she's leaning waaaay back on those big notes, probably so it doesn't distort. There's gotta be an awesome power exiting that mouth. High SPL vocals.
I love this 48yo woman head-banging and bouncing all over the stage. There's a reason this song was given a Grammy and voted the year's best rock song.
Is it wierd thst I'm even more attracted to her as a person now, than I was at 18 years old when this song came out? She seems like she'd be a blast to spend a day with. And she's got thay kind of beauty that comes from something inside. I'd love to just sit and talk to her for a couple hours.
She's always been, is and will be Incredible! I'm just amazed at the amazing talent that comes out of Canada. Alanis, Devon Townsend, Tom McDonald, RUSH, etc.....🇨🇦🇺🇲💯🙏💛☯️🌞
She never got the respect that was deserved. In the late 90's I wasn't scared to totally rock out with my sound system pumping and subwoofers thumping her music. So glade she's still alive ve and well since so many died from my era from overdosing on H. Curt Cobain and Layne Staley rip, Curt was a musical genius and Layne could belt out notes that most never dreamed of howling out
I hate the fact that she just rips my heart out of my chest and rinses it with all her soul, and I can't do anything about it . And I just have to keep coming back for more. Please help me
Thank you for watching! I'm working on uploading my videos from her current tour, be sure to check those out (an especially good one of this song from Hartford is coming soon). :)
