My wife and our friend each caught silvers at the lower end of Rotary on Thursday morning. Both were big, with the one pushing ten pounds. Sorry that we were unable to connect with you and see your garden. We will continue to follow your channel and contact you next summer when we are up there. We enjoy your videos, Reuben!
Oh awesome on the silvers that is a big one 10 pounds. Thank you for following my channel and yes, maybe we can hook up next summer. I wish you the best winter.
Did ya make it at daybreak ???? Them Silvers bite HARD in early mornings,,,,my favorite Silver lure was a Mepps NO 5 in Hot Pink or Lime green,,,,,,,,,,Kasilof and Crooked creek were my favorite Silver holes,,,,,,,,,,first we would get a Great Steelhead Run,,,,then the Kings would come in and then the Silvers,,,not a good river for Reds back then anyway, i caught a 52 lb King at Willow creek from the bank,,,,,,,that Willow King Run was Awesome back then. My Dad caught a 284 lb Halibutt off Deep Creek,,,my biggest was 110 lb,,,,,Good Luck to ya !!!!!!!
Yes, I did make it at daybreak. I floated eggs and threw spinners for three hours and didn’t get one silver awesome I hear you’ve had some great experiences with King and Halibut. My biggest halibut is 130 pounds and 10 years ago. I used to catch kings on the key. I probably 45 pounders, thanks for sharing.
I'm very particular about my red and white bobber with the black button on top. 3 wraps on the red side only. Please, try it again. Theres an evening bite too, not like morning.. not many coming by
Honest question, I only fish down in Washington and our pink runs are almost exclusively on odd years. I am forced to assume that that is not the case in Alaska? Do they run every year in Alaska? If so, that’s amazing.
@YoutubinReuben Thanks. I wish we had pinks close by here in Western Oregon. Thankfully we do get to fish for Kings and Silvers here. I will go this Saturday on the Columbia River. Then next month to the Oregon Coast to the Nestucca, Siletz, and maybe Tillamook Bay, Trask, or Wilson Rivers. Then fly in October to Juneau for our anniversary. I fished reds in 2012 on Funny River Road out of Soldotna. Got our limits every day!
