It was wonderful to meet you Brooke. You’re a special and inspiring person and I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation. It just goes to show that you never know who you’re going to bump into around the next corner. These encounters are only possible if we open our minds and heart. Hopefully I can get into Fairbanks again today to try your lemonade (I’m staying down at North Pole with some hosts).
Humbled Adam, and such a fun, serendipitous meeting.... you are amazing and will have so many stories to tell when this is over! Best of luck and we'll all be following along on your journey! Take care~
Glad to see you're doing well, hope you get your bike fixed, and get a shower. This phone has smell-a-vision, heh, heh, heh, just kidding. Loved seeing ya, take it easy my Brother 🤪👍😁
I enjoyed this so much. REAL people. REAL life, REAL talk. What a joy to hear this man's adventure. Your road is amazing now. I lived four years where every day's weather, in winter, dictated my life. There were days even 4x4 was useless. Great video.
Hey Matt, happened to open my back door for the dogs and Max was checking his map and looking for a place to camp. Shower, dinner, laundry, breakfast and he was off on the 5th. Max at pedaltheearth.com
It is so fun meeting people that way! I met a guy like that at the front entrance of Mount Rushmore who was biking across the US with a small dog in his handlebar basket. You know, people have been doing this kind of stuff for decades but the technology has changed so much of course in how we can interact with them and learn so much more. The 15 minute conversation is fantastic but it used to be that's all you'd ever know...now we can follow this guy thanks to your chance meeting with him. You did a fantastic job "interviewing" him too...and they are always anxious to share their experiences. Thanks for sharing Brooke!
Brooke your channel is my RU-vid happy place. I am inspired by you to get out and get happy. I love your sweet, spirit and your tough courage. Your voice and the background music is very soothing. I look forward to meeting you some day. If not this life then in the next.
Brooke,..I could have listened to you interview that world traveler all day,..so fascinating. Some people live extraordinary lives. That was SO cool the two of you crossed paths. What a cool guy on an awesome mission. Thanks for sharing. I love talking to random people,.......as long as they don't have a crazy stare and act unstable, Lol.
Hi Brooke, been watching your channel for awhile now. Just wanted to say hi and thank you for sharing your life at both your home bases. Your video showing your beautiful flowers was so awesome. Just watched your video on all the neat things your up to from hand feeding the birds, your road getting maintenance done on it, to your interviewing Adam from the UK. I gave him a shout out to say hi. Thank you again. Have a fantastic stay in your favorite place. Cabin's looking good too.
WOW! what a small world we live in and where two huge youtubers meet along a lonely highway and talk for a spell, that is so cool, thanks for sharing this with us i will be sure to follow Adam.
Hello Brooke, thank you for sharing this fine video. What a fascinating gentleman, Adam. Thank you Brooke. Sometimes you meet the most amazing people in the middle of nowhere. Please take good care of yourself. All the best to You, Dave and Maysie. 🤗
Such an awesome video! Adam was great and I will have to check out his channel. Glad to see you made it there okay and you sound so excited to be back. You and your family take care. Can't wait for your next video.
What a cool chance meeting, I really like this Adam guy! I went and subscribed to his channel because of this video. Good to see you Brooke!! Thanks for sharing!!
I've been following Adam on his channel for some months now, and what I love the most is when he meets people like you. Your channel is awesome! Subscribed.
Been watching your overnights in the shelter then found out about the Alone series I think you're a really cook chick and could imagine sharing a fishing hole with you and your hubbie. Your videos are very tranquil, a break to decompress so thank you for that. Your message is positive. Be save out there. thx! Terrel
Hi Brooke! Hey I walked out side today, and found a hawk feather just like the one in your hat laying perfectly on the ground! now i just need to get a hat! Great to see ya in Alaska! Heidi, from Bend Oregon.
So cool you met and included the cyclist in your video. In 2010 I rode self supported for 2 weeks in Alaska. Rode the Denali Highway and rode Denali National Park back to Wonder Lake. Incredible trip! I wish he Godspeed in his travels.
Thankyou sharing this with us, Brooke! Adam was a very cool bloke. I love his country and lived in England for eight years. My children were born in Chelmsford just north of London. I will definitely follow and subscribe to his channel. He is doing what so many of us would love to do. Alaska looks so beautiful. My wife visited a friend in Fairbanks two years ago and I will put it on my bucket list.
I love Adam's accent. Super cute too! lol. Very interesting content running into him. I hope he has great travel with no bear run in's or break downs to be stranded.
Brooke, great vlog and how cool it is to be able to check out another channel. It’s just so cool how people meet and have some similarities. Cheers to you and Adam.
Beautiful scenery. Awesome you got to meet Adam and talk to him about his adventure. Hope you had a great Happy Independence Day. You and your family have a beautiful and blessed weekend!!!
How amazing is that!!!! I subscribed to his RU-vid channel. You're videos are amazing!! I'm here in Michigan. Following a bit in your footsteps. I'm a hiker, joined search and rescue and CERT trying to find schools that teach wilderness medicine. Love you and your videos. I always learn from you!!! Thank you!!
Thanks for sharing the interview, Brooke! There seems to be a common thread here ... the most interesting stories are created when we find out what we really love to do, and then "just do it". God Bless from the beautiful Black Hills, Rapid City SD :)
What a great surprise Brooke to just see Adam riding by on his bicycle, another You tuber. I'm new to your channel and just checked his out. May God bless both of you.
Wow that had to be nice going to your mailbox and meeting another you tuber, and looks like you and Maisie are enjoying your summer, have fun Brooke 👍😊...

Wow what a fantastic video. It’s always awesome when you accidentally run into other you tuber. Especially one as impressive as this guy. And OMG what a great conversation you both had, very impressive! I’ll have to checkout his videos. As always, your videos are awesome, and from time to time, filled with little bits of surprises here and there. 👏🏼😀
I LOVED this video Brooke!!! Amazing from the bird(greyjay)? eating from your hand to the road story and then meeting Adam with the great personality. I am going to check out and subscribe to his channel now!! Wow again thanks Brooke...😊
Congrats on the new road surfaces... Dad retired to a mountain in AR ; he paid for several hundred yards of new road ... I like it to see Puppy-gurl with a big grin 😀
Thanks for the update about being back in Alaska. And what a great chance encounter meeting Adam! He seems like a really chill, good dude. Thanks for sharing the link to his channel - I'm going to go check it out now.
I just subscribed to Adam's channel. What a cool interaction........just cruising by on his bike! What a cool story that we all were privy to! What a joy to witness!! I love your channel Brooke!
Pretty cool meeting with Adam, he's a real long hauler. BTW, I know it's already past Solstice but for those in the lower 48, it would be cool to go up to your lookout and show everyone what it looks like at 11pm or even midnight. I did a short video when I spent the summer in Tok. It's a sight to experience for lower 48'ers :-)
Wow! Great installment :D So fun that you and Adam ran into each other. What are the chances while filming your vlog??? Turns out, you're a very good interviewer on the fly. I guess you're a bit of an all-rounder, girl! Wanted to see the look on his face when you told him you were on "Alone" twice! Hahahaha.
Hey when you first appeared on the screen with your arm outstretched, I thought you were hitchhiking! Ha! Then I saw the bird. Great video. Enjoyed it alot.
Awsome Brook, both of you have awsome videos out there, I like meeting the travelers as well, that's how we met Dave, and it's cool to see the window didn't fall out of the car, it's all good.
Very cool surprise @ your mailbox! Checking out Adam's channel🚴♂️. Loved his spirit. Alaska is on my bucket list of places to visit. I understand why it's your happy place.✌💙Thanks for sharing your adventures.
Hi Brooke. Very awesome video my friend and it looks so beautiful there. I live in the Fort Smith Arkansas area with mountains all around as well as lakes etc. This is the next best thing for me to see Alaska.
That was even better than having things in your mailbox. Sort of reminded me a bit of my hitchhiking and backpacking days, though I never went to other countries, mostly just west coast U.S.; California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada.
Hihello Brooke, awesome video! Hope you enjoy all the new things at your Alaska cabin (watched Dave building a lot of good stuff!). And the new road, of course! Your mailbox surprise was really fun! I checked out Adam's youtube channel, cool videos and great adventures!
You all are fortunate to have the state make your road a little more level at the bottom near the highway as we have to do our own roads here unless the county takes care of it due to school bus traffic goes over it. As for private roads you have to take care of your own road otherwise.
Wow, wow, wow. Interesting people you run across in Alaska that being meeting up with bicyclist Adam Hugill. ...Gorgeous place , Alaska; and spending the 4th of July there sounds like the bombay! P..s . You look your best there Brooke girl. You really seem to shine in your happy place that being mama Alaska! .....Cool Beans...
Way cool! You go to check the mail and here you run into a British fellow in the middle of no where on the Fourth of July. Like they say, you can't make this stuff up. Happy to see you made to Alaska okay. Say hi to Dave for me.
