Love it. It always amazed me how different the city looks in the winter vs summer. I saw 50 inches come down one night. It was the first time school had been closed for snow in 14 years. Artic valley ski slope was closed for too much snow. I had driven all the way up there after finding out school was closed to go sking. I picked up my ski instructor at the gate and drove all the way to the ski slopes in my 1976 Datsun Lil Hustler pick-up with only skinny snow tires, only to be told they were closed.
it can be pretty calming to ride on the roads late at night with the right vehicle . always good to help others in need too I usually do not have much issue in the snow my only problem is my wipers and windshield can never stay clear no matter how many times or what type of wipers i use we had a adequate amount of snow in fairbanks this winter so far but now its about to drop down close to -40 range this week
Hey Nutty.....you have a good heart...however please keep in mind many ppl get killed for simple kindness either unintentionally or intentionally.......had a neighbor years ago, was helping someone and in return the person took off with his car and luckily he survived. Not to mention other vehicles hitting ya ...happens all the time.... think of your family brother!! Stay safe !
Almost got taken out in Eagle River, had a car speed out onto the street because he didn't want to get stuck, I was so close to hitting him. Stay safe guys!!
