I love how NIko was trying to save Phil in the beginning, grabbing his tail and ear to bring him in. Then when she gets in she goes straight to the back of the pool and tries to get out. These dogs are so funny, love them though.

Oh this is wonderful. Had no idea they had pools for dogs. Poor Phil was so frightened. His little whimpers broke my heart, but he soon got the hang of it. Niko was much braver, and the shots of her pretty little face so close to the camera were adorable. I love the way she answers you too. And old Phil was nodding off when he was being dried. 😄 They are really loved to pieces aren't they. It's lovely to see.

Dude when the little girl grabbed the big giant dog as its swimming and the dog is just like ok. Im safe. This little girl who weighs like half my weight has me in her grasp. Was. Amazing.

Just love this video! Phil's vocals sound fearful at first but his deep love & trust for you two motivates him to obey. Niko sounds anxious at first but she also has deep trust in the two of you. Such fun and love!

for people saying you shouldn't force the dog to swim knows nothing about malamutes. These dogs are natural swimmers and have been bred for rescue as well as work. My malamute has a rescue harness and he loves jumping into lakes and swimming after people to help them back to shore. just a small suggestion they don't need that floater thing they are wearing. Malamutes are pretty naturally buoyant because of all the fat they have.

I'm surprised that Phil would be so frightened of the swimming pool; the Malamutes seem to be natural swimmers. Phil should watch some RU-vids of America's favorite Malamute, Tonka (aka the "Waterwolf") who opens every day at his home in sunny Florida by trotting out into his backyard and diving for a protracted swim in his very own pool! (He and his owner, as well as a family friend and her dog, are on holiday in the U.S., and a few days ago Tonka "distinguished" himself by taking a leap into a fountain on the White House lawn - where our President and his family live - where he paddled a few feet before his embarrassed owner yanked him out of the water!) But, if Phil and Niko have a few sessions in the water it will be very good for them and help them to stay afloat should they ever need to do so in an emergency (say, in a sudden flood.) I envy them; I haven't swum in years, but I appreciate the sense of self-confidence and relaxation it provides, and I sincerely hope that Phil and Niko will learn to enjoy it also.

They really seemed to enjoy it once they got the hang of it, especially Phil, which I was surprised about. Niko seems worried about Phil initially and seeing her with Shane she definitely looks like a daddy’s girl. Phil looked too tired to care as he leaned against the wall whilst having his shower but still happy 😊
