@@deematty46 Remember Alex threatening a reporter to keep part of a story quiet but she was so dumb she did it while they were still recording her... 😂 😄😄😄 So how anyone could ever see her as an intellectual heavyweight or even intellectual in anyway is beyond comprehension.
What a pity that those on the left calling out the shite thing that Blair and and Campbell did when they BOTH took us to war on a LIE, it amazes me but dosen't surprise me that no one on the left thinks that the both of them should have been in the Hague.
@@trucker4567 Cameron took us to war in Libya for their oil, now its a gateway for migrants that the right moans about. By your logic Cameron and Sarkozy should also be in the Hague.
I liked the bit where she said we should have state aid for industry. Like the Tories would ever do that...and cited Astra-Zeneca going to Ireland. Which is in the EU. Lol
You're on the side of the guy who was Blair's facilitator? You support the WEF? Have a word with yourself mate. This guys as responsible for the grooming gangs as Blair and the labour councils and CPS who ignored it and I was a labour voter for 25 years. Never again!
That was brilliant. Alex Phillips sat there talking utter nonsense and lies unchallenged. Campbell did well not to loose his cool sooner. And the interviewer should be ashamed that she let Phillips make those demonstrably false statements unchallenged.
Campbell hit the nail on the head…BBC presenter drew a line under interview because she had her pants felt as did Alex Phillips. You know when people are losing the argument when they throw all kinds of distraction are dirt up and can’t keep to topic. We all recognise Campbell’s other follies but they are irrelevant to the topic being discussed
Well said Mr Campbell and holding those scoundrels to account, including the BBC. Say it the way it is, utter nonsense these hardliners spout all the time!
It's no good attacking the BBC, the tories don't like the BBC, so what does that tell you. The con party wanted to get rid of the BBC because they don't want us to know the truth, they don't want us to have the facts. But instead of getting rid of the BBC they've taken control of the Beeb now, they've put their own in charge now. People should be attacking calling out all the tory supporting media, newspapers like the daily mail, daily express, daily telegraph, daily star and sun. Gb news, talk radio, sky news etc The real enemy is the tory Party and its right wing media
I don't think it's so much bias as false equivalence. There were an overwhelming majority of economists, industry leaders and experts highlighting the problems of Brexit and Farage and a couple of others saying the opposite so they'd give Farage equal air-time and equal credibility.
I'd like to see a policy where any MP gets fined for lying in parliament. It would have to be like a years salary or something to make them think twice.
@@mrfrisky6501 Deflect much. And fyi it was a bipartisan push for war in Iraq enabled by sly neo-con scheming as they were clearly only interested in the oil. And if Bush Jnr hadn't been corralled into war by the neo-con home base of greedy US Republicans then Blair would not have had to go in with them so as to keep a leash on the dog.
@Susan .. why do you think Emily Maitliss, Sopel and Lewis Goodall got out? Never been the same since. But the tide is turning. The word brexit is now being allowed to be spoken on the BBC!
Because every time they do they extract even more concessions from the UK. For Tory British PMs negotiations with the EU is propaganda. And Brexiteers are, for obvious reasons, uninterested in details and highly affected by propaganda (else they wouldn’t be Brexiteers). So with each negotiation, the EU is able to extract real impactful concessions from the UK, in return for giving the UK some meaningless concessions which play well in the Tory media, but don’t actually have much practical impact, because that’s what the Tory PM needs. Better headlines in the Sun.
@@hellojake7684 Remeber Barnier's staircase? Every economically better solution was excluded by the UK, for no specific gain, btw. As long as Britons use the term "concession" in the context of a mutually beneficial level playing field, the UK will remain out in the cold alone.
"Brexit can deliver all these wonderful things, but it hasn't delivered all these wonderful things, and we have a hard Brexit, but it isn't Brexit, and it's bad, except it's the right decision, even though it hasn't delivered, and most of the Remain arguments were true, but that's their fault for not saying Brexit is a great idea even though it's terrible...." What. The. F?
@Dave Coyle so the reason Brexit is shit is because of the people who didn’t vote for it, said it would be bad and were not involved in implementing it instead of those who did vote for it, said it would be great and easy and who have implemented it? Save for having Farage in number 10 I don’t think it’s possible to imagine a more pro-Brexit government
@davecoyle4483 I agree. I find it laughable people think we've had Brexit. A reduction in immigration and deregulation hasn't happened. Sunak isn't a Brexiteer. He pretended to be as an insurance policy.
Campbell rightly lost his temper. Shame on the BBC for giving people like Alex Phillips a platform. She is so clearly away with the fairies that it insults us viewers to have to listen to her.
Who was it who made Fararge? The BBC. They gave him a platform even thoudh there were no UKIP MPs. Caroline Lucas should have had more air time than F□cker Fararge.
She called him rude, then hit him... If he had hit her it would have been in the news for a week and he would have been ousted from the public eye forever.
Fucking A Mr Campbell. That lack of pushback by TV hosts has needed to be pointed out for years. CNN just "interviewing" Trump just proved your point yet again.
Not a huge fan of Alastair Campbell but he is right, the Brexiteers do talk rubbish and the BBC is complicit with the leave vote winning by allowing them airtime to spout lies and never challenging them over the facts.
People need to be held accountable and if the interviewer is incapable of differentiating fantasies from facts, she frankly has no place in this environment.
Brexit does not effect these highly paid T.V.presenters posing as proper journalists. A cushy number that involves no fact checking just sitting there and not careful interrogating the quests like Andrew Neil and others do.
Roughly every 4 years the people of the UK are invited to vote in a General election and as far as I'm aware has any candidate/party truly delivered on manifesto pledges? Of course thw difference with a referendum is that it's a single issue and no Brexit as it was worded has not been delivered! What's the surprise?
Campbell is spot on. This video actually backs him up. Look again at the respective opening QnAs. The brexiteer speaks at length - talking absolute nonsense with every breath - without being challenged once. Campbell is interrupted at least four times. All
@@tonkerdog1 what’s worse then huh? Absolutely uninformed rubbish on the TV screens and on the pages of newspapers and radio is akin to propaganda You call it censorship, I call it facts and statistics by the experts
Alistair's argument is pathetic. It's a false argument. The fact the comments aren't seemingly aware of this is depressing. The fact the UK enacts EU regulations into British law is irrelevant to the question of our degree of control as to what those laws were.
@Louise H .. just loved it. Alistair is right. Brexit bad news has been stifled by the BBC .. a channel I used to love. Just go listen to phone in shows like James O Brien, and even ignoring James, just listen to the REAL people who’s businesses and livelihoods have be devastated by Brexit. I have been speaking to my daughter about a scissor company she works at owned by a Dutch entrepreneur. They can send anything anywhere in Europe since we left. EVERYTHING get sent to Holland for re-distribution. This Alex Phillips is the nut job who did that speech at Reform that made Liz Truss look good. Her point about being a Euro MP only highlighted the most famous euro MP .. Nigel Farage who shouted and insulted fellow MP’s but NEVER went to his meetings. What was his subject. FISHING! LMAO
Alex Philips makes even Liz Truss appear to be a paradigm of sane, rational, pragmatic thought. If she were an orthopedic surgeon, she'd attempt to fix a broken led by repeatedly smashing it with a sledgehammer.
Bang on Alistair Campbell. Not one of 'em will take any responsibility for Brexit. All we hear now os: 'it's not the Brexit we voted for'. That's after hearing how they all 'knew what we voted for'.
@@normanchristie4524 Don't you think it's time to stop having hissy fits about brexit? You lot lost the democratic vote, so we are out of the CORRUPT EU and we will NEVER GO BACK IN.
What is that matter with these people? Don't they get what "reality" is ?? Why are they seemingly incapable of doing the sums required to understand data ???
It's only turned into a gimmick because 99% of our politicians are corrupt & are still trying to stop it ! Over 17 million people betrayed ! If you remoaners had won but a few years later we were still leaving the EU how would you bloody well feel !!!!
Yes I admire Campbell so much for dragging this country into an illegal war in Iraq, resulting in the deaths of countless innocent Iraqis with his "sexed up dossier", his lies about WMDs. That is something to be proud of. Have all the Alastair lovers in the comments got such short memories that they have forgotten this? Do they give the same pass to his BFF Tony (w*r cr*m*nal) Blair.? It's only a few years ago that Campbell's name was mud to anyone with any pretensions to liberal beliefs. Political wind socks.
What criticism !?....it was pretty even to me ..Campbell hates to be challenged and because he got away with "mu**er" with his mate Blair, he now thinks he can talk to opponents like sh!te.
The British people have never had a government that truly believed in Brexit. Our immigration figures will be double that of when we were in the EU. That says it all.
@Me0wish Exactly. Which shows that our government is deliberately creating crisis after crisis to make Brexit look like it has failed, when in reality, we never even had it.
Brian you are so right. I cannot believe the mindset of all these people who have commented. alot of people need to take off their blindfolds or this country will sink in to the abyss
@Howard Brett Tbh Howard I think it is too late. I see nothing to be optimistic about. The comments on here are an indication of just how far we have fallen.
Alastair was completely on the money here. Despite the fact that 95% of economists were telling us that Brexit was a terrible idea, the BBC would invite on one from each camp in order to present a 'balanced' argument.
@David Graham .. ok David .. 80%? More to the point .. if you are a Brexiter, how many times have you heard Brexiters asked to name a benefit of Brexit? Jacob Rees Smug actually HAD to ask of all people, SUN READERS for any to help him out. LMAO
There was never a perfect Brexit. There isn't a perfect Brexit. There will never be a perfect Brexit. Ever. Bravo Alistair, your final "foe God's sake" was magisterial.
