We dive into Monster Hunter World for another exciting experiment. Alatreon is a legendary black dragon, far stronger than any Elder dragon. It controls over all the elements! Can the combined forces of the other Elder Dragons be enough to kill Alatreon.
Monster Hunter World is a large scale game released in early 2018 allowing players to hunt large wyverns and other amazing monsters. It was followed by the latest installment Monster Hunter Rise which is due an massive expansion known as Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak very similar to Monster Hunter World Iceborne; both of which introduced Master Rank the equivalent of G Rank in older titles such as Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.
Disclaimer: Alatreon has been altered to reduce the impact of his attacks and slight reduction to them; which we initially thought would make the fights a little more interesting. However, after recording we realised this video doesn't really reflect the strength of Alatreon and if we get enough interest we will redo this; this time with an completely unaltered Alatreon (Besides proportional HP scaling). Maybe this time it will reach Nergigante and have the fated rematch!

You should always strive for unaltered Monsters where possible aside from maybe Fatalis shenanigans. It's just more fun when both Monsters are displayed on an equal playing field with no intentional rigging of the fights in any given side's favour, because you come to really appreciate their strengths and weaknesses in a given scenario. Honestly, I don't really want you altering stats for serious fights anymore. If it's gonna be a fight (aside from, again, Fatalis shenanigans), make it a fair one to both parties by keeping them unchanged aside from HP scaling for time purposes. A Monster needs to EARN their due, ya know?

Yeah, Id rather see unaltered alatreon asides hp scaling. Its no fun if alatreon is intentionally nerfed, especially if you're trying to see just how powerful it really is.

Ofc they would need to have loads of hp to be able to stand any chance, after seeing what happened to that poor Alatreon in that rematch…

This was interesting to watch. Kirin carried the competition by being small, fast and spammy, hateful for Alatreon to take out. Although I didn't understand how Kushala was able to do this much damage, maybe the wind barriers constantly dealt damage if Alatreon was nearby?

So, Blighted Vaal Hazak? Each attack with effluvium comes with the effluvium status AND a blight or debuff depending on the attack. Also mini Escaton Judgement when he flies to spread spores.

Part of it was Alatreon wasn't aiming all of his attacks at his foe. But that aside, Kirin was the heavy-hitter. Being so fast and small by comparison, it did a lot of dodging. Also Alatreon was stubborn about using lightning attacks on a lightning foe. Even when it was in another element mode, it used lightning more than fire/ice. Alatreon also seemed to favor running around and stomping nothing rather than actually hitting Kirin. I think it would have beaten Blackveil if it had more HP. But Kirin made its mark, stopping it even before halfway in the list. Kirin was the real MVP of the Elder Dragon group. Regardless, it is mighty impressive that despite this nerf, Alatreon made it through Velkhana with about a quarter health and still only got beat by Blackveil just BARELY.

Well it based on gameplay not lore,by lore alatreon stomp all of them together the only thing that can actually make result of win or lose for both side is if alatreon in situtation of 1vs1 fighting with the regular fatalis,dire miralis,and Crimson fatalis. White fatalis destroy them all in 1vs1, but the first class danger monster from frontire also gonna destroy them all in 1vs1 not in 5vs1. Basically all first class monster can destroy everyone who under them even if it was 1vs all that not first class dangerous monster

Ala wasn't the only one missing it's attacks. The monsters tend to try to attack the hunter that is clutch clawed onto them, so all monsters are prone to attacking what seems like nothingness

Still find it stupid that kirin is considered the weakest elder by some due to rajang that perfectly counters it. Kirin would fuck up most other elders due to being too fast with it's lighting teleports and huge amounts of lighting spams. If they don't shrug off lighting, the unicorn will win.

Interestingly, Nergigante has a weakness to Thunder, leading it to avoid Kirin(from my theory). It may be an implication that Kirin either isn’t worth the effort or is too dangerous to hunt down for such a little rewardz

Obviously game mechanic wise kirin is a tough fight but in canon hes super frail compared to other elders, all it would take is for one good hit from nergi or a pounce from a teostra and kirins days would be numbered. Even a deviljho could probably take on a kirin if it had nowhere to run and was quick enough to take it out before it takes a beating from kirins thunder onslaught

@@Cubey3 In canon, kirin is fast as fuck. In cut scenes, kirin literality teleports like lightning at great distances. It'd be incredibly difficult to catch for most elders if not outright impossible. They have to be agile like rajang who already who sets a high bar.

The funniest part to me, is that I know that in Lore, Alatreon would basically 1 shot all of these besides MAYBE Nergi, but just a comparison of their stats in game is neat as well.

All these battles will be MUCH more interesting to watch if just leave healthbar 5-10% for every monster :( If fight is going around 4 min without speedup. Also, who will be the winner if everyone have the amount of HP.

Every squeak of kirin just made this fight relaxing. Also Velkhana sounded like a pig when screaming (on fast forward) Another thing, looking at Alatreon fighting style is really like a seasoned warrior. It knew how to set a gap between him and the opponent.

I've seen plenty of players discredit Kirin and call it weak simply because of it's size, but when it gets aggressive it's an absolute beast of electrical might. I could just not be remembering, but I don't recall the lore ever stating that Kirin was a lesser elder compared to the others. (or at least the "common" elders across games such as Teostra, Kushala and others like them)

Technically alatreon hasn't actually mastered all 5 elements. It can use them hut hasn't mastered them. Its body is unstable in fully using each element which is why its called a black dragon

I dont wanna Sound negative so pls dont get me wrong here when I say that its pretty entertaining if you ignore the fact that its just a video game and that an actual Alatreon would not get partially flattened by a Kirin. I mean just look at the Lunastra from MH Legends of the Guild, a Netflix animated movie that outclasses the Real Life Action movie with Milla Jovovich by far. That Lunastra is a walking apocalypse despite still being at most the weakest mid level elder dragons. So yeah no doubt that the Avatar dragon, not restricted by video game gimmicks could easily destroy all of those elder dragons. Oh and watch that animated movie or at least the Lunastra bits its really worth it. Its Monster Hunter at its best. Paul W. S. Anderson, this one (🖕🏼) is for you, especially after producing bullshit once more And yes it would probably end a bit different if the Alatreon in game would have its actual Quest HP instead of the default HP stat.

She may be just a female Teostra but she is definitely stronger than him at least thats what I believe. It never once crossed my mind that she could fight on par with Amatsu. Dont Know about Xeno though or at least if it is one that just hatched she could possibly beat him.

@@hannesminnich7271 I honestly can't see Luna even being in mid tier, but that could just be me. I personally treat AT xeno as master rank xeno or a xeno that's got used to its powers and now knows how to use them pretty effectively so I think xeno is most definitely in mid tier since it seems unfair for us to only look at what it can do literally moments after its born. I guess if xeno was just born Luna coul beat it, but I don't think the flames would do too much to xeno, but we can't say for sure

Honestly, to be fair, they should have had the same health. If Alatreon had the same health (5360) it would have been dead at 6:33 and Kirin would have won (when Alatreon dipped below 7640)

Never like these videos, since Alatreon's most powerful move Escaton Judgement doesn't work properly. Some other things annoy me as well but that's that's main thing. Oh, he was nerfed as well. I wondered why he wasn't doing much damage. If you can actually make Escaton Judgement work properly in a setting like this I'll be impressed and enjoy watching the next one. Alatreon is my favorite monster.

Safi is almost twice bigger and alatreon cant even survive a blackveil. Heck that supernova from safi was suppose to have damage.

@@TJSeries-Animated Alatreon couldn’t survive Blackveil because he was already half dead lmao. Also, go search for a straight up combat of ala and safi ON THIS CHANNEL and you should find something. Safi jiiva can RIVAL the black dragons. That doesn’t mean he automatically defeats them. Hell, they pit a Fatalis against a full power safi and fatty left with 70 percent of his health left.
