Got to see Albert at a workshop in the old Pro Music in Jacksonville FL several years ago ... he was as kind and humble as he is great on guitar, and spent more than just a few minutes chatting with me ... And Vince Gill learned more than just a little from this guy!

Albert is the reason I learned to Hybrid pick. I met him about a year ago couldn't have been a nicer guy. They say never meet your heroes but man he didn't disappoint. A true legend of the game

Fantastic Albert! Pickin' like a madman while totally relaxed! Great work Jen: a little 20-20 hindsight: a wireless mic near the vocal speakers on its own audio channel would have really helped. No need for the great (whatever they are) camera mics to be stereo, unplug one and use the input for the wireless receiver. Having its own track allows very simple level balance in Post.

@Sharky. I don't think Albert Lee ever played with The Yardbirds. Albert played with Chris Farlowe & The Thunderbirds, then Heads Hands & Feet, then with Emmylou Harris' Hot Band and then with Hogan's Heroes, interspersed with lots of session and solo work. I believe Albert (yes, an Englishman) was voted "Best Guitarist" by the CMA for maybe six/seven (?) consecutive years in the 1970's. Try to find his cover of Jimmy Webb's "Highwayman" from some years ago on Andertons Guitars RU-vid site. Just Albert playing electric piano and singing a great song that was a favourite of Mr. Anderton's late father - in - law. What a tribute by a great musician, the likes of who we will not see again. Stay safe and well.

Albert came to America and between himself and James Burton they influenced a whole generation of country style guitarists. No ego, no baggage, no attitude just a truck load of talent. I am not a fan of his guitar and preferred him on a Tele. I was wondering if Fender ever approached him about a signature model before he teamed up with Music Man. If not, it was a huge blunder on their part. I have no idea who 95% of Fender's endorsers are nowadays.
