Hi. I enjoyed both your transfer from soil to LECA and follow-up (this video). Could you give an update on how your Monstera did after giving it nutrients? Many thanks. Keep up the great videos.
My albos develop one leaf per month or a month and a half. Each of them. I had one that was very slow and took one leaf every two months and a half or three months to give me one single new leaf. I propagated them, Kept the top cutting and the mother base plant with lots of roots, now, that same plant is giving me one new leaf every 3 weeks! Sometimes the plant when it’s slow, needs a proper propagation and will get energy to start again! I don’t like to cut healthy roots I’ve seen your two videos about this plant and I’m a bit sad for their roots, now this plant should be a BEAST if you propagated it before, try the next time when the plant has new big root system, I’m pretty sure it will grow a nice bushy plant and also you’ll have many monsteras. It’s like when you cut it, the plant liberates some hormones and gets energy from its roots again to grow faster.
When I transferred my BOP from soil to semi-hydro, I used the spray nozzle with the multiple settings and used the jet setting to clean off all organic matter. Your plant may be fighting between soil and hydro, but ultimately prevailing with the water roots. My BOP had a rough transition from soil to pon. I lost about three mature leaves, and had to cut them off. It's finally stabilizing now after almost two months. When I transferred my Thai Con, I lost one leaf and now have a ton of water roots. No new leaf growth on the Thai Con.
