Benefit and Stand Up! are my 2 favorite JTull albums...better than Aqualung! I wish you had chosen an earlier LP from Sly and the Family Stone. "Stand" would have been a better choice for me. My vote is hear Benefit by Jethro Tull again...great album.
I'll be learning something this month. I've heard stuff by The Dear Hunter, and Sly Stone before but not these albums in full. I'm obviously familiar with Maiden and Tull but do I want to hear them again? Maybe, but I am intrigued by Green Lung, not least by the cover of the album so, that's my vote this month. Might be rubbish but somehow, I don't think so.
Benefit got my enthusiastic vote! PS Michael Collins remained in orbit around the Moon, while the others walked on it. Ian's song that is in part for him, is an exceptional take on that extraordinary current event. PPS I thought I already commented re this but it never appeared. Sorry if I'm repeating myself!
Benefit was my vote. For some reason it did not click immediately like Aqua Lung, but after several listens it is right there with Aqua Lung and Thick as a Brick. I am interested in the Iron Maiden live album you praise so much though.
My vote is for Benefit by Tull. Speaking of live albums, Jethro Tull's live album "Bursting Out" from 1978 just released as a box set remixed by Steven Wilson again is one the best live albums ever.
Live after death though is a maaaaajor live album that's criminally passed me by as a super Maiden fan....so that gets my imaginary 2nd vote (oh Jim i got an amazing Curtis Mayfield live album with classic 5 cd set and on it there is a performance of We People Darker Than Blue that i first taped and fell in love with when i was 13 years old....its such a great live album!!)
