me when joe hawley is attacking So jhjh came to be in 2015, when "Joe Hawley Joe Hawley" was suggested as a joke because of how secretive and mysterious Miracle Musical was. The album was crowdfunded, and eventually saw a release in 2016. It's the only post-2011 tally hall project to feature all 5 members (and also Bora) joe hawley attacks is a reference to a joke video on the tally hall channel (not on there anymore, but there are reuploads). it is also basically just the disneyland main street parade theme Black People White People is potentially an outtake from Good & Evil, and tallyball (who made that video on voac) has a good video talking about the song (he also talks about &!) Bring Her Along features Andrew, and it was apparently supposed to be a tally hall song. it samples we will rock you and rock around the clock. it also has a trippy lyric video, that (maybe) calls back to spring and a storm? Crazy F*** is joe rapping a bunch of food (and occasionally not food). It samples a bunch of game osts, and it has a music video that shows off an early concept of the hawaii part ii album cover. It features Laurel Stucky, who sang on Candle on the Water. Rotary Park features Zubin, and is about the time Joe and Zubin got mugged while filming the Good Day music video. It has a lyric video as well. It samples Take the Money and Run, which is like. just so on the nose Your Mother is a Basketball is the world's most elaborate yo mama joke. The song features Stephanie Koenig who sang on White Ball and Allegra Rosenberg of Minimall who are collectively featured on Go To Bed. It also features Michael Gregory of The Gregory Brothers! (wild) Hoodz 'N The Woodz features Alex Kessler, who is also in the music video. Hot Rod Duncan was a character in the SXSW 2007 episode of the Tally Hall Internet Show. I guess the song is an expansion of duncan's lore. It samples charlottes web, for some reason. .Aristotle'S deniaL sa desaeler saw laineD s'eltotsirA ,gnimaerts no desaeler HJHJ nehW .htiw deruot llaH yllaT taht dnab a ,llaW eht dna ylliT secnerefer osla tI .ecnedicnioc a eb thgim taht tub mrots a dna gnirps ekil tib elttil a ekil sdnuos adoc ehT ."adoC looF" eht dellac si gnidne wols ehT .dooG gnileeF ekil sdnuos ti dna ,piD mujoC serutaef laineD s'eltotsirA Bohemian Rhapsody is one of Queen's most iconic songs, and its long mutli-segmented format served as inspiration for Bahamian Rap City. It makes a little reference to DSISM off of HPII with the line "Dreaming sweet in C". We Are In Space features Rick Lax, who you may know from Drew Gooden's videos about him. He was Tally Hall's manager for a time and continued to work with Rob around 2014, when his solo album was being made. The song samples a few GarageBand sample packs. Go To Bed is built directly off of Break It Down, a song that Joe wrote for his old comedy group anonyMous. Break it Down would be performed by Tally Hall but I doubt it was ever considered for an album. It features Minimall. There's actually a secret extra song that's fully unavailable on streaming due to copyright. Joe made a cover of White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane, and it uses direct samples from the original. It also samples Orinoco Flow and... kanye west overall jhjh is absurd and kind of meaningless but its also fun and i have to commend it for how much it just is what it is. at least sketches and not a trampoline aren't quite as wacky and nonsensical.
Finally. This is one of my absolute favorite albums! So crazy. Also, there is a 13th track on this album. But due to copyright infringement, it couldn't be on the album. It is a cover of Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit", which can be found of Joe's youtube channel
there is one more song from Joe Hawley i would suggest you listen to if you want to of course its a song called special its not on Spotify for some reason but you can probably find it on youtube anyways love your reactions and i hope you have a wonderful day!
@@jack101starZapparently joe hawley gets nightmares about his mugger on top of his bed, smiling. Probably what inspired some of the lyrics about nightmares
Fun Fact: Rotary Park is the place where Joe Hawley and member of his former band also singer in this song Zubin Sedgi were beaten and robbed. I think the line “Rotary park is safe after dark” was supposed to be ironic saying as what happened there
@@jack101starZhonestly I do feel like he was likely misinformed, and he did take the tweet down so he likely realized it was wrong. I honestly feel like it was kinda blown out of proportion, like yeah it was kinda stupid of him but I feel like people saying he *is* a Zionist are being… a little dramatic Though I am probably a bit biased since Ross is my favorite tally lmao
