My favorite Death Metal albums are Disgorge - Consume the Forsaken, Mortician - Zombie Apocalypse, and Deeds of Flesh - Trading Pieces. Consume the Forsaken is the Heaviest of the Disgorge albums, and the most advanced lyrically, and musically. The lyrics are incredibly good for Brutal Death Metal. I noticed that the first song sounds like a completely different production than the rest of the album.
I always thought with the album cover it was trying to be a death metal/slam version of Savatage's hall of the mountain king with it's combination of red and green for instance
@@juliangonzalez6215 In my opinion Disgorge is definitely one of those bands Heavier than Mortician. I've listened to Zombie Apocalypse, and Consume the Forsaken back to back, and to me Disgorge definitely has more Thud, and aggression. Mortician is like early Cradle of Filth, insomuch as both bands have their own versions of a Heavy mid tempo riff that repeats itself on multiple songs, which I feel reduces the impact. Not too mention that it gets redundant.
