PLEASE READ I WANT YOUR HELP! This is a lofi audio. Meaning the sound is of a "lower" quality. I find lofi audio to be very pleasant and triggering for ASMR. I want to create some lofi versions of my audios to preserve that wonderfully imperfect sound. I want your help on the direction these audios should take. So I would like your feedback on the 3 main aspects to consider. 1) Is it lofi enough for you? Do you like the way this sounds in regards to a lofi audio? 2) Music or no? Should the lofi audios have background music / sfx? I have included both versions in this upload for you to compare. MUSIC: 0:00 NO MUSIC: 17:30 3) The Acting. Should the acting be as serious as it is in the standard audios or should the acting itself also be lower quality? Think of it as: playing pretend in your room VS a real attempt of immersion. I have included (my attempt of) both in this audio. MUSIC 0:00-7:30 = "play" acting 7:30 = serious acting NO MUSIC 17:30 = "play" acting 25:00 = serious acting Additionally, I would love to hear your thoughts about this project in general. Would you enjoy lofi versions? Do you think it's a waste of time? I'm open to all thoughts. Thank you for reading and for your feedback on this project!
Love the lofi audio, you could definitely make it a little more so but it's very soothing as is. I prefer your audios without music, and with either a serious or more casual tone, both are fantastic for different moods. I dont usually comment but I've listened to your stuff a couple times a week for a good few years now and its phenomenal, something about the way you speak and the scenarios you create always seems to help. Thanks for everything, seriously
I don’t have a particular preference on the acting or lofi, whichever is faster for you, and can give you more time to make longer/more videos. The music makes it a bit more cozy IMO you’ve always been very good at getting the right audio levels, usually the only time I don’t like music is if it’s too loud.
Ok, after listening to the original video and the lofi version a couple of times, i think i can give my feedback (and hopefully help you out) 1) I think the audio indeed has a nice lofi feeling to it, the slightly lower quality audio reminded me of the time when ASMR wasn't popular yet, so it was more difficult to find content creators with top quality mic and audio quality, it certainly feels nostalgic. 2) Usually, i prefer ASMR videos without BGM, but i do like some minimal SFX for the additional immersion, the amount you used in this video is the ideal, just some cozy fireplace sounds :) 3) Ok this one is kind of hard, because i think it depends on what kind of roleplay it is, if it’s a more wholesome/laid back story, like in this video, i think both works just fine, i kind of liked the serious acting a bit more because it had more whispering, which is one of my favorite ASMR triggers. But in a more serious or creepy scenario, i don't think the "play" acting would work that well, but something tells me that you already know that, after all, you've been doing roleplay audios for almost 10 years now (thanks for not leaving even after such a long time btw) This is all just my personal opinion , but I hope it can help you somehow, and... Sorry for any possible typos in the text.
1) It's lofi enough giving me some OG ASMR 2011-2015 vibes (WhisperCrystal, HeatherFeather, etc.). Nicely done (as always :)) One thing though, in a RU-vid Mix of your HiFi audio, this is a bit louder at points that jarred me awake briefly. Check your RMS compared to your other videos and keep it below that (compression usually does the trick and will still be "lofi"). 2) I personally prefer minimal music / SFX since I found your channel solely off your buttery smooth voice. Something like Iosefka's Clinic (my favorite of yours BTW) would be prefect for LoFi. 3) Your acting and content are Top Freaking Tier so a LoFi audio with that secret sauce would be unique. Whew sorry about writing a book, but I know that whatever you decide for this, you'll hit it out of the park! 😀
Heya! Saw this just got uploaded so I figured I'd give it a listen, see if I could provide some useful input :) 1) Lofi enough? I mean, I think? I like how it sounds. 2) I think there being no music lets us hear more of the difference between lofi and non-lofi. Music in ASMR tends to be a hit-or-miss for me. It works here, but on my MP3 player that I keep stuff on when I listen at night is very limited in terms of volume, and some audios are impossible to listen to because they're too loud, not uncommonly due to music :< 3) I might be a bit too tired to hear the difference at the moment. Brain fried. I think I in some instances maybe prefer the serious acting, but it might be more due to sounds, audio level and triggers. I like the side to side stuff and a gentle voice, be it soft spoken or a whisper :p Whatever approach you prefer is probably fine! I don't think it's a bad idea to experiment a little. I found all of it enjoyable. Might have to listen back a couple times to see if I notice differences in the audio or in my preferences. I really enjoy the original, non-lofi audio in this case, because the voice you use is gentle on my ears. A rougher sound (which might be more common in lofi?) can also sound good (better for triggers?), but I might be little too close to bedtime at the time of writing. I think then that having no music would help, as it doesn't get at all drowned in background music or noise. I hope some of what I wrote made some sense! Maybe I'll get back to this tomorrow :)
