I've said it before and I'll say it again: I like you doing big canvasses the best! Really shows your reach (artistic reach...😊). LOVE these colors! Composition is EXCELLENT! Flow is, as usual, OUTSTANDING! Ta.❤
@@SaraTaylor Sara, I just love what you do. Watching this vid was like the Super Bowl of fluid art for me. No one's work gets to me like yours, like you. I SOOO want to be able to do this. I watch lots of other artists. Their stuff is wonderful. But yours is a step above. Just keep letting us watch your magic. ❤🌹
Such an amazing piece, one beautiful spot after another, the eyes just keep wandering on to the next place. 😍 So many beautiful pearls/cells and I love that you softened the negative space areas so it doesn't go from colourful to bright white. So beautiful 😍
So stunning and “gutsy go for it” piece! FYI, I’m having great success making CA using Erica Huges PM ( 1 Golden gloss gel:3 American floetrol) mixed into Amsterdam titanium white ( assuming their black would do as well). It’s really been very thrilling and certainly cheaper than Aussie floetrol! Txz Jeanne
Love that piece it’s out of this world. Sara question I hope you can help me , I was looking for ávido you show how to varnish with quites varnish and you used water over the canvas instead of mixing the varnish with water. I died but I forgot , so if you understand my concern please answer to me , cause I’m sure I love your process. Gif bless you👍
Nice work my friend. I’m sure the client will be thrilled. I love that you got awesome results snd no tilting. And that Indian hello from tri-art is gorgeous
I dont know what you think, but I like the idea of placing the pearl paint where you want them. It seems like you have a bit more control using this technique. You still achieved that desirable organic look, but the composition is more of what you envisioned. Maybe it's a falsehood of control,(as so much is in life and art😏) but your technique and this wonderful piece gives me some confidence. I've been searching and contemplating for a style/technique that will work for a tree of life sculpture I made. I've done several practice pieces and none of them look quite right. Its Sara to the rescue once again. Thank you for your recipes, teaching, and inspiration! This piece is awesome! I love all the color and the free flow of the composition. 😊✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️
Oh Sara!!! This one is soooo special!! 🥰 The colors, the composition, the movement, it’s just all working here. Like magic. I could stare at it forever. I think it’s even more inspiring because we got to see the “fail” before it. I just love knowing that you kept going and found the magic again on the same day after that. The best videos make me want to run right down to my studio to try new things and that’s exactly what I’m going to do!!! 😊 💕 💙 ☀️
Thank you, Andrea! I thought it would be interesting and maybe helpful to show the fail before the success. I’m glad you felt that way, and hopefully give some insight to working on a large canvas.💕
Hello Sara 🤗😘 Gosh I have missed you, this is absolutely exquisite. You remind me of me the way you create, it blows me away. And I am so so proud of you!!🤗. "Alchemist" (I love the title) is so powerful, it has energy, depth, emotion and so much more. "Alchemist" (very cool). I love being able to loose myself in your art Sara, it is special (well for me it is), it feeds my soul and takes me to times past. Thank You for being here, remember you are so appreciated and love by so many of us. Namaste 🙏🏼 Blessings Love and Light to All. ❤🕉♾💚 Love is so much in all that love is. 🤗
This is gorgeous. The colors together are just perfect and make me smile. Your client has to be ecstatic. Way to hang in there. I knew you’d figure it out. Raising the canvas definitely helped with the extra thin base coat. I can’t wait to see what you’re going to do next!!🎉❤
Hi Sara. Where do I find your translucent base coat recipe. I can’t find it? Thank you for all of your lessons. I’ve been accepted to an art gallery in New York. I am over the moon and you are my main inspiration. I just made your techniques my own!!
That’s so awesome to hear! Congratulations! Here’s a video that goes into depth about the translucent basecoat, the recipes in the description as well. Translucent Pearls: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mQ5vdVAtZIA.html
This turned out so much better than I thought it was going to when you first started in with the pallet knife haha. I'm SO happy for you that you were able to achieve what you wanted. Great job Sara!!
Oh Sara!!! So glad you jumped back in the same day. I totally see where you were going on the other now that this one is finished. I love that you were able to figure it out. I knew you could!! I can't wait to hug you in Asheville!! Looking forward to meeting you 😍😍
I love love love the end result! And I love the technique you've used. It's so much more intentional and such an efficient use of paint. Also smart for a large canvas where paint can get really heavy and hard to control. This really shows your knowledge of the paint and how it will respond. Bravo!
Amazing Sara! I saw your last video and was so so curious! Very beautiful result - great job. I've tried something like this once, but I have to practice a lot more... haha
Your perseverance paid off BIG because this is gorgeous!! If your client is a well known and much loved RU-vid artist and business man, I swear I feel like I know who this is for! Mainly because of his open expression of his love for so many colors that are in this painting! But no matter who the client is, he’s a very lucky owner of a gorgeous piece of art! Much love my friend!!🤗💕
WOW! 🤩😍❤️👌😊🙏 C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S ! You are an alchemist with this paint! Observing the magical morphing of the paint after your application brings me to another dimension. Colours are such a rich and profound influence. Thank you for sharing your process with us. ❤🙏
Breathtaking! You have such an amazing spirit and it shows in every piece. You are an equally talented teacher as well! I enjoyed your class SO much and cannot wait til I get to take more of them! Thank you for all you do for this community!! 🥰😘
@annegoodwinstudio Hi Sarah love this technique- positive, transitional -timeless and contemporary you were back in your element. Love the way you utilised so many techniques in one piece…. Beautiful. X oh and when are you coming with your fellow artists to the U.K.???
Thank you so much! Unfortunately, no, that is the Fluid Art boutique. I participate in the Fluid Art Experience that is happening. This may in Asheville North Carolina stateside.🙏🌟
Hi Magnificent canvas with colors that remain vivid. Do you have a video where you teach how to make puddle paint, fluid paint, liquid paint or dry pigment paint? I only found a video of making a basic mixture and colors with a "regular" consistency (I don't know how to name them) This would interest me because your mixtures where some have integrated medium are ingenious and really an essential ingredient in painting for link textures and colors. This is why many people have a very dull and flat painting after drying, which I find uninteresting. I have been making canvases for a long time but never this technique, but your way of doing it and the ingredients used tempt me greatly. I have already bought what I was missing and I will try if I can find your mixture recipes. thank you and I love your videos. you have incredible talent, from Montreal.
Thank you so much for the lovely message! I think the best thing to do would be to go to my teaching playlist and watch the videos in that list. It goes through a lot of my recipes and mixing. If you have any questions that come up, let me know. I’m also teaching in person this spring, if you’re interested!🙏💕
I must admit, while watching the video I just didn't get it. You have created some amazing artwork but I was thinking this was not going to be one of them. Then the video reached the Dried Results! I almost fell off the chair! Stunning! Can you share how much real time you spent creating this amazing painting? Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
It's amazing you figured out how to execute after your first try! This is so cool! I would it "colors of the wind" it looks like ripples of wind currents going over a desert terrain to me. I absolutely love this!
Wow oh wow, that is so stunning! That is so very cool, I love it… it looks so much like you, if you know what I mean. The blending and colors are amazing, thx for sharing ❤❤
Yay!! I made one of your vids. This piece is stunning lovely 🥰 You are a true inspiration and help so many people on their own creative paths. You rock!!! X
Gorgeous! I love it! What is the purpose of the transparent base coat under the other base coats? In some of your paintings you prepped the canvas with a layer of pouring medium. In other pieces you painted a thin coat of acrylic paint to make the surface tackier. How do you determine when to take those steps? And my last question - sometimes when I’m tilting a canvas, the paint along the edges flows slower than the rest of the paint. It gets a little stuck and creates curved lines of paint. What can I do to prevent that? Thank you for sharing your expertise!
I use a transparent base coat, mostly to get the other paints to move more freely, and when I swipe over with the black, it adds the lacing effect, as far as your Canvas issue, you wanna make sure your canvas is really tight before painting on it, usually spraying a bit of water over the top and letting it dry can help tighten up the canvas.
Also, the tacky paint on the edges and corners… That’s something I used to do, but don’t really do anymore. It does help keep the pattern of the pearls a bit more defined on the corner and edge.
Sara, hi there, you have created another beautiful painting and the technique is so soothing to watch. Love the freedom and flow. The colors are lovely. Your painting dried so beautifully and all the interesting shapes and cells really invite the eye to come closer and look all around at the organic shapes forming. Your client is most fortunate to have one of your paintings. Thank you for sharing this video. Always love how creative you are and watching the flow and movement of the paints.❤
I love you work especially the colors you put together. Many of the techniques you use end up hiding many of those colors or minimizing them to a degree, so I was blown away with this painting. The art is beautiful and the colors are front and center!
